This is an excellent, well-written
I am currently battling recurrent endometrial cancer with chemo and radiation. This is an excellent, well-written, inspiring book that all cancer patients should read. Clearly, Lynn shows how the love of God is there for us all if we just allow Him to be present in our lives and ask for His support. God never promised us a perfect world, but He did promise us He would be with us in our lives, if we allow Him to enter. The stories are all so uplifting - I could relate to every one of them. Not everyone in her book survives their battle with cancer, but all are deeply changed once they open their hearts to experiencing God's love and accept all of the gifts and mini miracles He gives us. I've often told people as difficult as the two cancer diagnosises and the treatments have been, I have experienced the true love of God for what He has done for me directly and through the love of those around me, including complete strangers. I have read a number of other books on this same topic, and this one is truly the best.

A good friend of mine gave me this book when I was newly diagnosed. I didn't read it until I was halfway done with chemo. The author is such a spiritual woman of God that she knows how to write each story with a kind heart, especially after being a survivor herself. After reading this book, It confirmed all along about my journey. God had me in the palm of his hands and there was a bigger purpose for me. It confirmed for me that God is a loving God and we need to trust in him. This book is spiritually encouraging. It allowed me to know about other people going through this journey, and those who didn't make it were able to accept Jesus Christ into their lives. At first It was uncomfortable to read about cancer patients who don't make it, but soon I realized Wow! What a beautiful gift to accept him as our lord and savior! Highly recommend and I have passed this book to friends who are going through this journey as well, so they can feel God's presence and know that they are not alone!

Comfort and Understanding
This book is written by a cancer survivor, that was devastated, let God take her through the journey, and then went on to become a patient counselor for her Oncologist. After a brief introduction the body of the book is comprised of the accounts of 18 different people and there walk with cancer. The stories are not all pretty, with pretty endings, there is a realism to the accounts. Each 'story' is written in perfect, bite-size 10 or 12 page chapters. There are various reasons one could be drawn to this book; I'd say get it and go through it, even a little at a time. Though God is referenced through out, I don't think it's a limiting factor of who could appreciate this collection of stories.

Great book!
This author gets it because she's been through it. It was gifted to me when I had cancer and now I gift to others that are going through it.

Made a Difference
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. My treatment involved chemotherapy which was the hardest experience I have had to go through. Even though I am a strong Christian, chemo was taking a huge toll on me physically and psychologically. God led me to this book and in the week I read it, He infused me with a new hope. Here is an excerpt from my journal: "Also a new book God has used to get me through is "When God and Cancer Meet: True Stories of Hope and Healing" by Lynn Eib, a colon cancer survivor. I think my favorite part is feeling like she understands the vast array of feelings I have as I continue to walk this road. I am now beginning her second book "Finding the Light in Cancer's Shadow: Hope, Humor, and Healing after Treatment." So I highly recommend Lynn's books to cancer patients I meet. "Finding the Light..." book was also very helpful.

SO inspiring to read these stories and how God has made such a huge difference in their lives. I have brain cancer and reading these stories only inspires me more in my relationship with God and how profound my life has become because of Him. A must read for survivors of cancer and for family and caregivers of those who are on their cancer journey.

Perfect book to give encouragement to those with cancer
Being someone who has incurable lung cancer I find this book very uplifting and strengthens my faith in God and confirms my will to live in Gods' light rather than cancers shadow.
