Perfect solution
Great product! I had previously purchased a similar item on Amazon, for about $1 more, product X. Product X was a problem from the start. The old bezel, undamaged in anyway, would not snap into place, the included screws for the security tab were too big, and there was no way to block in the extra space at the bottom of the bay when using a 2.5 inch ssd. This product, while looking just like Product X, addressed all of the failings. The bezel snapped right into place, while the screws for the security tab were not included, the old screws fit perfectly, it had a filler bar in place to fill the gap at the bottom, and in addition, it had two very tiny side screws that secured the ssd inside the caddy. Everything worked perfectly. Two thumbs up.

Works well, construction is OK
Installation was easy and fast, and is working great in the computer. Doesn't feel like it's made from the best materials but fit and finish is good. Interesting mounting system for hard drive. Screwdriver built in to the housing and snaps in the recess for the hard drive after use. Only complaint was it was shipped with insufficient protection, just a padded envelope. When received hard drive adapter was dented. Have to carefully take apart and bend the shell back into shape before I could use it.

I could not get it to work until I used the security screw that held the DVD ROM in place at the end of the device. It would just not work. But as soon as I put this screw in (this screw came off of the DVD ROM and was not included in the package) it worked like a charm. I have tried it with both a regular Hard Drive and an SSD. It works. Someone is very smart. For me the DVD drive was useless, but a second HD is amazing.

I was skeptical about so many 5-star reviews but for the price, I bought one. It arrived the next day. Put a 2TB Seagate hhd in it for data and 500GB Crucial ssd for the system [Lenove Thinkpad T430s]. A child could fit this kit. Re-fitting the fascia of the dvd drive to the caddy was easy and no one would know it has been changed. I left the small switch in the original [left-hand] position. It worked first time. I partitioned the hhd with one partition for backups of the system drive. This is a lot more convenient than external 2.5" usb hard-drives. Paranoid about hard disk failures I copy the backups to the external usb drive. For the price this is the most value for money kit I have ever bought. I have bought 3 more for my other T430's.

Ich besitze ein Notebook von HP (Pavilion dv 15-n028sg) und habe mich entschlossen mein Gerät mit einer SSD aufzurüsten. Zunächst habe ich die alte Festplatte (HDD) ausgebaut und die Neue eingebaut (nicht ganz so einfach). Danach habe ich mich entschlossen auf mein DVD-Laufwerk zu versichten um dafür mehr Speicherplatz zu bekommen. Gesagt, getan. Mit dem Produkt von QUMOX hat alles reibungslos funktioniert. Die Passform, bezogen auf das Notebook, ist gut (es wackelt nichts). Die Festplatte lässt sich prima in den Adapter einsetzen und ist auch hier ausreichend fixiert. Es werden keine zusätzlichen Schrauben benötigt. Als kleine Zugabe gibt es sogar noch einen kleinen Kreuz-Schaubenzieher, der für die Schrauben, zur Befestigung der Festplatte in dem Adapter, gedacht ist. Damit der Umbau nicht auffällt und das Notebook wie vorher aussieht kann man die alte Leiste des DVD-Laufwerks einfach an diesem abnehemen und auf den Adapter drücken - hält und sieht gut aus.

Acheté pour installer un HD en plus dans un Dell Satellite E4300. Fourni avec le petit tournevis qui va bien, une mini notice imprimée directement sur le caddy. Les dimensions sont exactes, il s'implante sans aucun problème dans le PC. possède même les trous pour l’équerre de fixation. La face avant du lecteur slim 9.5 d'origine s'adapte parfaitement. Fonctionnement OK dès la mise en route. Avec un SSD 128 double boot Windows 7 et 8.1, j'ai maintenant un HD Seagate Momentus XT 500 Go. Bref un bête de course et que du bonheur. Alors n'hesitez pas, a ce prix là. Inutile de dépenser plus.

Praticamente perfetto, viene adattato al posto del lettore cd , mi raccomando in fase di acquisto fate attenzione allo spessore del vostro lettore, di solito lo standard è 9.5 ma controllate. L'installazione è semplice e veloce, recuperate il blocco vite dal lettore quello che lo fissa al case del portatile(nel caso fosse presente), va svitato dal lettore e fissato all'adattatore. prima di inserire l'ha vdovete smollare i blocchi , sono due vitine ai lati, e ricavvitare dopo aver messo l'hd, serve per mantenerlo fisso nel case. Funziona perfettamente ottimo
