A Legendary Christmas

John Legend has a great voice. And I love Christmas music. What isn’t to like?The other reviews here, one commenting only about the bow on the cover (seriously? How very odd) and another on one song, the rewrite of Baby It’s Cold Outside. Why would they order this CD? Did they actually listen to it? Ignore them, if you like John Legend, you will like this. Note on Baby It’s Cold Outside: I think he made a good try but love the original. Darius Rucker has a good recording of it with Sheryl Crow on his “Home for the Holidays”. It is just one song of many on an excellent CD regardless of whether you like it this song or not.

Love John Legend’s rendition of the Christmas classics. His version of Baby It’s Cold Outside is awesome, as are all of his songs.

I think John Legend is an amazing artist, vocally and on the piano. His voice and music remains outstanding, but I realized I like more traditional Christmas music. The 4 vs 5 stars is based on my personal like.

Its not often you buy a cd these days and enjoy every track but I sure did with this one! It stayed in daily rotation in my car. This is the new family classic!

Wonderful family music to get you in the holiday spirit. No profanity or political controversy lyrics and can be shared with friends & family. Lovely music to enjoy alone or with others. This will be my new favorite CD to be enjoyed for years to come.

As usual John Legend was great.

So disappointed with this CD. Am a fan of John Legend.Songs are too jazzy and in recognizable.Last three songs are better.Prefer ballads from John.

We bought the deluxe edition with the extra track ''Baby, it's cold outside.'' Great arrangements.

Really enjoyed this addition to the Christmas library of music. Some interesting new tunes written by the artist. Not sure about the reworking of Baby It’s Cold....but overall a great listen. 2 thumbs up.
