Handheld Bottle Corker,Double Lever Hand Capper For Standard Red Wine Beer

So pleased with this corker. It's very sturdy, very easy to use, the corks go straight in, no problems. Would really recommend this product if like me you've been wacking corks in with old mallet type.

Really good quality product. Corks slide in easily. However, the corks I was using were damaged by the piece of the corker pushing the cork down as its a tiny bit too small. Put a 5p coin between the cork and piece of metal and the pressure is applied more easily and the cork isn't damaged.

The most shabby but of kit you'll ever buy. Save your money! Centre post wobbles about with very little support. The plastic caps on the next grip lasted one go. Because of the lack of support on the centre post, it couldn't manage to push a cork in without slipping off the cork. Utter rubbish in my opinion. To qualify my appraisal, I have been making wine for 30 years, corking with a 50 year old bit of kit. I thought I'd treat myself up .... How wrong I was!

The rubber sheaths split on the first use of the tool. once used, i found that the corks were not fully in the bottle and had about 1/2inch 13mm stuck out of the top. It gripped properly, but I wondered if it needed the central insertion rod extending. probably worth the money, but upgrade for another and check the reviews first.

Couldn't really get on with this, it seemed to short, the lip grippers did not come far enough down the bottle, I had to manually beat the cork in over half way before this would engage properly on the bottle, then it pushed the cork about an inch to far down the neck of the bottle, im not one for giving up as im a solution based person and not a problem stuck one, but to be honest, after a good try these ended up in the bin.

Takes a few attempts to get used to but in the end it’s easy, I used a coin to spread the pressure of the ram on the cork as without it the cork was being damaged. Do it on the floor and get right over the bottle to ensure an even and direct pressure
