This was a truly life saver. My husband had eye surgery and had to keep his head looking down for 8 days after it; to eat, drink, and sleep; All day and night. This was a bullseye!! It kept him comfortable, allowed him to rest his neck and shoulders, he was able to use it on the counter, table, in bed; every where he wanted to be without feeling suffocated like the pillow version did. I highly recommend it !!

The headrest was a great option to use for recovery after Retna surgery. It's portable and patient can see their cell phone or tablet while keeping their head down for the required time. It also enables changing chairs for comfort and sitting up in bed.

We purchased this device to help with my husband's post-op recovery from retinal detachment surgery. He had to be face down for 7 days. There are other similar devices sold that include a mirror and a cover for the head-cushion and are marketed just for vitrectomy/eye surgery recovery, but this was half the price. My husband said the pros are: Very supportive and relaxing - he fell asleep in it more than once. Adjustable, although it took a bit of playing around to get the proper heights and angles for our various tables & chairs. Easy to use once you get the hang of it Cons are: The vinyl material gets hot on your face after a while. I debated making a cover for it but it would have been too complicated and he told me not to bother. The head-cushion began to flatten after a few days of use. The part that sits flat on the table sometimes lifts off the table, so it has to be readjusted frequently to keep it at the right angle. We did not try using it in a bed, only on a table. Overall, this was a reasonable solution for a difficult time. It helped in recovery and it can also be used as a massage device. I like that it comes with a carrying case. We may need this for future surgeries (hopefully not) and if so, it will be at the ready.

If you are having any eye surgery this is a must to have— it will save your sanity if you are told to lay face down for any. Length of time

I needed vitrectomy. I was in fear of placing my eyes down for long periods of time. I am closetrophobic and unable to lay face down on a bed due to back issues. This gives plenty of adjustable room to face down, read or sleep while sitting at a table or desk. A little pricey but I will need it additional times.

Bought this for eye surgery I had. It was comfortable and easy to move around.

Unless you are tall, this doesn’t work. I’m only 5’3” so it needed to be at a lower to the table setting. With it that low I couldn’t read anything because it was too close. Also if you have to wear glasses it is not comfortable. If you are just using it to sit in a comfortable position it’s fine. Just don’t expect to use it to read if you need reading glasses.

If you are recovering from an eye surgery this is a must have. It converts so you can use it in the car on your lap while driving in the head down position (an absolute must have) and at home you can flip the bottom around and use it in between your mattress and bed-frame to sleep in the head down position. Price is very fair and its extremely helpful
