Totally above my expectations
I'm not a professional musician, but this is by far the best one I've ever played.Sounds amazing and feels totally great. It plays smoothly, and this is exactly the feel I was expecting for a high quality classical guitar, there was some reviews complaining about the width of the fingerboard, but for me it is great, since I'm used to the electric guitar "grip".This product is stunning also, it's gorgeous.

An amazing instrument.
I did not buy my Takamine through Amazon--just so that's out of the way. A few weeks back, I visited a local music store, looking for a "long neck" (14-fret) nylon-string instrument. I took this one down off the wall, played it for a bit, jammed for a while with another player, and put it back, loving the sound but thinking it was far too expensive.I bought (from Amazon) a facially similar Yamaha guitar, and tried and failed to love it. My spouse, who has been listening to me play for more than 37 years now, told me to get the guitar that I loved. So I did.I play mostly acoustically, and leave the electronics for rare occasions when I'm playing to a large group. This guitar sounds great as an acoustic instrument; it has a rich, full sound, and the treble is clear and precise. Because its body is deeper than those of most of its 14-fret brethren, it has better bass response, close to that of a true classical model.Be aware that this review roughs things out; but every individual instrument is different. You can't know it's for you until you've had your hands on that particular guitar. Good luck!

Very pleased with it
This is my first professional level guitar (my old acoustic only costed me $250). Very pleased with it. I do a lot of fingerpicking and wanted something with a wider neck, but not quite as wide as a traditional nylon string. This one suited me perfectly.
