Great portable AC Inverter
I bought this to take camping to recharge small electronic devices and flashlights. It is fairly light weight and is a good size with a sturdy carry handle. I wanted to add some technical details to this review that I did not see before I bought this. One, this is a modified sine wave generator, it is not pure sine wave, however, it is a really good approximation. If you look at the o-scope shot, the sine wave is pretty symmetrical. It has a small zero-crossing event, but still very good. It is only when you zoom into the waveform that you start to see the approximation steps, but very small. I think most equipment would not have an issue with this at all. I tried running a 50Watt small AC office fan and it had no issue. It ran the same speed from just the sound of it.The packaging came with an AC wall plug to recharge the unit. It came with a car adapter plug to charge the PPS240W from your car. It also came with an adapter cable that allows the unit to simulate your own car port by plugging into the 12V ports and then having the large cigarette receptacle. The LED light on the side of the unit is very bright and could illuminate a tent or small room with out issue. It can also flash SOS by pressing the left LED button again after turning on the LED.Overall, I am fairly impressed with the PPS240W. I would like to see an actual battery percentage on the display as well as wattage out. However, I think most user do not need to know the actual battery state. They just need to know when it needs to be recharged. Time will tell how it holds up to the camping world, but the case seems pretty well constructed and I like the idea of a LiFePO4 battery for longer periods between charges. The manual states 5 to 7 months between recharging the unit.

Beware of the noisy fan
Everything works well except the loud noise from the fan, and the fan is activated quick often. I later bought an Enginstar power station which is much quieter with more capacity. Energizer is like a crazily barking dog while Enginstar is like a calm cat.

When comparing
I had bought three generators at the same time because I wanted to make sure I had some thing to compare to in the same price ranges. I ended up returning this one because for the price I can get a stronger generator. I ended up settling onLIPOWER 300W Portable Power Station PA300 out of all 3 and returned this one.

Essential when traveling
The media could not be loaded. "We recently wrapped up a few days along the Oregon Coast, I was able to bring my Energizer P240 portable charging station alone with us.We spent our days on the beach, I loved that we were able to charge my camera, phone & speaker whenever we needed without having to pause everything else.I also have another portable power station of the same capacity, but you can clearly see which one is more portable.Energizer P240 power station was perfect for car camping & all-day beach trips, small enough to fit in our backpack but powerful enough to charge all of our electronics, I'll definitely be packing it for future travels!"

Will play a big role when needed
The media could not be loaded. "Not had to use in normal times yet but it promises to be very useful. I will be using it in my caravan a d around the house to charge up my phone etc.Well made and looks it will stand up to a little 'rough handling'. Very pleased with it.Update: I used my 60W solar panel to charge the Energizer P240 power station when the sun was fully illuminated. It performed very well in front of the high-power solar panel. About 6 hours to fully charge."

Good emergency light back, long lasting light
Left light on to see how long the battery will last, it lasted 68 hrs straight without charging.I wish it had a solar panel charging connection

It's a perfect device
"I used the P240 power station to charge my CPAP when I went camping. During the day, the solar panel charges the P240, and at night it can power my CPAP work. My doctor said that I only need to use my CPAP for 3 hours a day, so the P240 can completely solve my needs. It is a perfect device. A good Christmas gift.

We have had this product for 6 months and already the plugs don’t work.
Portability is great but doesn’t matter if equipment doesn’t work.
