It's a shame the shade doesn't come installed in the door. Our fifth wheel came with the lippert door and the snap frame pre-installed. Pros: 1. Installing the shade was simple and took at most two minutes. It takes longer to read the instructions than to install the shade. 2. The shade definitely adds privacy. 3. The shade looks great installed since it was made for the lippert door. Cons: 1) The shade is expensive since it is made specifically to fit the door. Thankfully the frame was pre-installed so we saved on that cost and installation. 2) The shade doesn't move up and down smoothly with a gentle pull, probably so it will stay in place in the up position. You just need to firmly grip the handle to pull it down and put it up. Overall, this product works well for its intended purpose which is privacy when desired. I'm definitely glad we purchased the shade. Update: After having the shade for several months, it is evident that this was a great purchase. The shade is customized to the door window and blocks light and adds privacy.

Our travel trailer was set up for this to be installed and the install took all of 5 minutes and it works perfectly. Just be careful not to leave it closed if your travel trailer gets very hot for extended periods of time. We left ours closed for roughly two weeks during the summer and the first time opening it the shade itself didn’t want to fold correctly.

These are definitely a pricy option that I would have passed on had I have seen them or used them prior. However, they are about the simplest part I've ever installed on any of my machines before! If your door's window is set up for this, it honestly takes a whopping 30s to install. BUT. . . you need to separate the screen door from the exterior door, stand on the steps, then fight the sad accordion action to get them up. These would function so much better if the tension strings on the outboard sides of the blind were fed through perforations in the fabric. Instead, it bunches from a lack of smooth operation and makes it frustrating enough that it's not worth opening. My advice: either make the perforations and re-feed the tension lines yourself, or skip the $53 price tag and get a sheet of tint. At the very least you could write a review about how much it sucks to lay down tint if you've never done it before. . .

Easy to install and looks great

This is probably the easiest thing you could install on a travel trailer/RV. It took me 30 seconds to install. It fits perfectly and blocks out as much light as the rest of my shades, maybe even a little more. Update: shade works great BUT did not stand up to the South Carolina heat. The plastic has warped where the 4 locks are meant to hold it in place (2 at top and 2 at bottom) so it is no longer secure. I wish the top and bottom pieces were aluminum so this wasn't an issue.

These "thin shades" really are just THAT. very thin. I baught mine back in 2021 after I got my 5th wheel that came with the prep windows in the door(s). Main problem with these things is they areveryCHEAPLY and if your rv sits with the sun blare g right at the window the heat on the shade will cause the shade to warp and mostly melt out of position in the window track. I still have Both of mine in the windows but had to take out one of them and manually BEND backthe plastic so it'd stay in place. They cost way too much for the cheap quality to be easily effected by the heat. They now in 2025 want over $51 for just ONE of these- NO WAY IN HELL are they worth this much_NO WAY!!! I will NOT rebuy them at such a price; MAYBE if they drop to $25-30ish then o.k but no chance in HELL at over $50. They can go pound sand!!!

Perfect for my new fifth wheel. Install was simple, follow the instructions and be sure to order the proper size for lippert prepped window. Be aware, typical rv screen door blocks access to the privacy/shade screen when rv door is closed. Shade is very versatile for partial or complete closure and can be raised from bottom or lowered from top.

We bought 2 of them for our rv door windows. They were fairly easy to install. Have to be a little careful when putting the shade up. You almost have to use both hands to make certain that the curtain folds properly. You have to open the shade from outside because we have 2 doors and our inside door the screen does not move. We leave the one in our bedroom closed all the time as we have 2 other windows.
