Seems that most of the bad reviews here result from the horrible, horrible excuse for a manual. Even for one written in Chinglish it's a poor attempt, obviously nobody cares whether we can actually use their product or not. So here is my Reader's Digest condensed version of what we should have gotten with the tool:General description: this is a low-power soldering iron suitable only for very fine wires and lugs, say 20 gauge (0.5mm^2) or smaller, and 0.5 or 0.6mm solder. It seems better built than most inexpensive soldering irons, with a metal body and a lithium battery. Someone said it's an 18650 cell, it might just barely fit, I didn't take it apart to see.Instructions:1) As with any rechargeable tool, charge it first. Screw the charger into the handle/barrel GENTLY and plug it into a usb-a power port (phone charger, power bank, computer); the angel-eye on the handle lights up blue and the LED on the charger red. When charging is complete the angel-eye goes dark and the LED green.2) Unplug the charger and unscrew it from the handle, screw on the soldering tip. Make sure the voltage regulator on the butt of the handle is turned all the way up (clockwise).3) Press the button on the handle 5 times rapidly to turn the power on; the angel-eye will blink 3 times.4) Press and hold the button to heat the tip. It will only heat for around 5 seconds, then blink 3 times again and stop heating. Release the button and immediately press and hold again; about halfway through the second cycle the tip will be hot enough to melt solder. Tin the tip.5) At the third cycle you're ready to actually solder your thin wires to your thin lugs or whatever thin things. See a pattern here? You're not going to solder power wires or car battery cables with this, it's for tiny wires and PC boards.6) If you're just learning to solder, the trick is to get the wires or lugs hot so the solder flows onto it, not to just drop a blob of solder on top. Your solder should be 60/40 (or close to that) rosin core electrical solder and quite thin.I hope this saves someone some frustration. Once I got this tool figured out, I'm quite happy with it. I've soldered together a few LED light setups with it and had no problems. But as stated, it is not a general-purpose tool, it's very specialized in that it will only handle very light applications. But it sure beats having to lug around a large iron (and an extension cord because the one on the iron is NEVER long enough)!

Not good enough for anything larger than a microcircuit. Don’t expect to tin wires or solder wires bigger than a 30awg. Not what I was hoping for.

Good product for the price

The soldering iron was non functional when received. However, my purchase was fully and quickly refunded. It looks like it would have been perfect for my purposes and is well made and attractive. I only wished it worked.

This an amazingly helpful tool. On burned my self 18 times. They should make a combo with this unit extra bandaid

El soldador llegó antes de lo esperado y es muy fácil de usar, funciona bien, se coloca cómodamente en la mano y gracias al control de temperatura es de banda ancha para usar. El precio está bien
