These valves are great. Especially if you have arthritis in your hands. The quality is top notch made solid pass. They will last many years.

Heavy duty hose cut-off for your garden hose. This makes swapping nozzles and adapters simple without walking back to the faucet to shut off the water and then draining the hose to change nozzles. It's built of solid high quality brass with a stainless stop valve that has shown zero leakage. Really a must have if you change nozzles or adapters whilst you tend your garden

I've bought a lot of shut-off valves for a garden hose, I have a small orchard. I used to buy the older versions of the black rubber top type, quality versions of that type are no longer made well these days. i have returned several because they just didn't cut it. These are well built, solid, less moving parts, shuts off completely, large shut off valve handle, but the most important aspect for me, is the inside hole diameter. The hole is a little larger than 1/2", I think it is .51. I like a larger garden hose (3/4" instead of the normal 5/8") and the water flows much better. These are a smidge more expensive, but I feel well worth it. There are no dinky little screws on this item. It does come with an extra gasket, but I always use a real rubber gasket so I just simply changed it out and keep the others as spares. At this point, I own three and they have been used for the spring/summer months daily with no problems. I don't think you will complain.

Great little gadget to get full flow control on hose. Only downside is that any throttling sprays the water, so it is either full flow or spraying. Wish there was a way to control a smooth flow of water but turning off the flow and reducing at the faucet is not to hard.

The valve is heavy and works well. I have no concerns it will last the rest of my life. When you order this, order it by itself so it doesn't bust out of the package and allow other things fall out.

What makes this special is that it is truly full-flow, the gaskets aren't exposed like some competitors, and it's incredibly sturdy. A few, years ago I bought a different brand, no longer available, that had all these features, and was upset I hadn't bought more. I bought a different brand that seemed to be the same, but it had a lot of faults. When I ran across this one, I hoped it would at least be an improvement, but it was exactly what I was looking for. I should order more before it's discontinued or tariffed.

While I won't be able to definitively speak to the durability of this shutoff valve, for some time to come, I am enthusiastically hopeful that it will far surpass the plastic, aluminum, and other such shutoffs I have purchased over the years. It feels substantial and beefy. I appreciate the "full flow" of the shutoff, as well as the "not stubby" lever for flow control or on/off basic function. The lever movement is smooth, positive, and agreeable. Pleased with this purchase — for now. 😉
