Planet Dog Cozy Hemp Adjustable Harness

This is my second time time purchasing this harness. The first time I got the Green Apple and I absolutely loved this harness so I purchased the Purple one this time. It's so soft on the inside where it's rubbing on my dog. She has very sensitive skin and and other harness I tried gave her rashes. I don't think I'll buy another brand but this brand for my dog. My 45 lb pitbull fits in the medium after we adjust it a little bit.

First off I want to say that I, up until now, have loved Planet Dog products. My one dog had one of their collars for 4-5 years, my other dog has had their collar and leash for 3 years so far, which is why I figured their harness would be just as good. Well, within 5 minutes of my dog having the harness on...just at the start of our walk, she pulled slightly as we walked to the side of the road because a car was coming, and the clip just fell apart. Once the clip broke, the entire harness fell loose which allowed her to slip it. This dog of mine is not a smart dog, when she was a pup she got loose a few times and it took up to 20 mins to get her back in the house. She thinks it's a game to run away, so now that she's older and bigger and a little smarter, it took us over an hour to get her back to our house, she had almost made it to the main road at the top of my street which would've been an entirely different story.I wish I could say that this harness is as great as I found their other products to be, but I can't.EDIT: I want to come back to this and say the other day I was looking at the broken harness. I realized it was just the plastic clip that broke, which yes it is an integral part of the harness and shouldn't be cheap, but the hemp part of the harness was completely fine. Seeing this, I ordered a carabiner and replaced the clip with it. Since then, 2 week ago, my dog has had the harness on all day, she seems to love it. With the carabiner complementing the hemp, i think this is a really strong harness; my leash would break before this harness breaks again.

First bought a large one for our 110LBS German Shepherd about 4 years ago and loved it. We also could resize it to fit our 65lb boxer. After 4 years the pit puppy chewed it so we had to order 2 new replacements for our 2 boxers (our shepherd had passed away a year ago so her boxer sisters still shared the harness it was time for them to each have their own.) We have never had issues with slipping once sized for whichever dog was using it. It has never failed us until the pup chewed it.A good thing to remember is there are different harnesses designed for different uses. This one is for a dog that already walks well but still pulls from time to time and needs redirection. It is not a training harness, which is why our pit does not yet have one. She is being trained to walk using the Harness Lead which we are having much success with once she learns how to walk better she will then get a Planet Dog harness. Love these products! We also use the matching leashes and collars ( because girls need matching outfits :) ) Thank you Planet Dog for making our walks more enjoyable!!

I bought my Planet dog harness and leash about three years ago. They are both still in great shape.I did experience a size issue with the harness for my cattle dog. I got a medium and it fit perfect in the neck but loose-ish in the chest section. I tightened enough that it worked fine. This harness now fits perfect on my husky mix, who has a much broader chest.The thing I love most about these harnesses is that the dogs can't slip out of them. My cattle dog has figured out how to escape out of every other harness I've ever gotten her - I literally have no idea how she does it and it doesn't matter how tight I make them. This harness though she can't get out of and she seems to be quite comfortable in.I'm about to buy a new Planet dog harness for my cattle dog as well as a new leash to match. I love this brand! Highly recommend.I also love the ease of putting this harness on. My cattle dog knows to lift one paw after i pull the neck section over her head, and then I clip the other section after pulling it under her paw. My husky hasn't figured this out yet, it's a work in progress lol

I hate the idea of pulling on a leash that's attached to my dog's collar, that's around her neck. I have a sometimes-stubborn lab, and I really wanted a body harness that would be kinder on her when she wants to go one direction and I need us to go another direction. Sure, there are cheaper body harnesses, but their material does not compare to the soft hemp of this harness. Best thing is that they're so easily washable too! It takes a few times to get used to how you put the harness on, but once you're used to it, it just takes a few seconds. Definitely worth every penny, and now, I don't have to worry about pulling on my dog's neck with the leash!

I bought this for a small dog (7.5 kg) with soft fur, hoping in particular for the fleece lining not to rub. However, while the harness fitted in terms of inches, the width of the straps and the size of the buckles is not scaled down. Additionally, in order to reach the smaller end of the size range, the adjustment of the straps means that it is the outer material, not the fleece lining, which is against the dog's body. The result is a harness which is much too bulky and heavy for a small dog.

Really pleased with this cozy hemp adjustable harness. I brought a size small in the orange, and it's a great colour & has softened to be a great fit. Also my little escape artist cannot wriggle out of this one. Very happy & will definite buy another in a different colour when they have a size small available.

Lovely and soft but strong too. Very adjustable, and (I think) comfortable. Washes well.The best harness I have found. I will be buying another colour for the summer, maybe purple!

I've been using this on my 19Kg dog for 3 months now, and it's holding up well. It's nice and soft and washes well. I have to tighten it regularly, but that's my only gripe.
