More Parts (Picture Puffin Books)

This book is hilarious! I love using it to teach my third graders about figurative language. We always have fun laughing together when we read More Parts! I used to borrow it from the school library but decided I needed my own copy this year.

I have a read a few other books from this author, and I loved them when I was younger, so I knew I had to get some for my own children.My kids and I absolutely LOVE these books! Ted Arnold's illustrations are both entertaining and fantastic. I love the little squiggles and the puns he adds to the book. The story is also great for helping explain rhyming to my children. They find the stories hilarious, and we have already read these many times since owning them. I know it is one we will keep coming back to. I definitely think that the first book is the best out of the trio, but this second is pretty cute as well. I did end up returning the third as it did not really follow the same pattern as the first two and used words like 'stupid' that we do not use in out house.Overall, It is a cute explanation to the questions kids may have about themselves as they are growing that you don't often think to explain, and the drawings just add even more to the humor. I would definitely recommend this book to others, you will not be disappointed.

My kids love having this funny book read to them each night!

My granddaughter absolutely loves this series. She is four, so the giggles are worth the price of the book. 😊

Fun kids story

My students loved this book. I used it as a read aloud during our study about idioms.

More Parts is the sequel to Parts. Both are excellent books. There is one more (Even More Parts), but it isn't quite as good. Funny and good for little kids who know something about their body so they get the humor.

I wanted to teach my students about idioms. I found this book and it's a delight! I found it fun and so did my students. The kid in the book is hilarious!

I use this book for teaching young ESL students about idioms. The book is funny as has really cute illustrations that the children love. It is always a big hit when I read it in class.

I bought the second one because I loved the first one.
