Love This Book!
I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this product because it has truly impressed me. From the moment it arrived, I could tell it was well-made and of high quality. The packaging was secure, and everything was neatly arranged, which was a great start. What really stood out to me was how easy it was to use. Whether you're familiar with products like this or it's your first time, you'll have no problem figuring it out. The setup was quick, and it worked exactly as described. I’ve been using it consistently since it arrived, and it hasn’t let me down once. The performance is outstanding. It delivers exactly what you need and more. One thing I particularly appreciate is how reliable and efficient it is. It has quickly become something I reach for regularly, and I can already tell it’s built to last.Durability is another major plus. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, so I have no concerns about it holding up over time. I’ve accidentally put it to the test a couple of times, and it has proven to be tough and long-lasting.For the price, I couldn’t ask for more. I’ve seen similar products that cost much more but don’t offer the same level of performance or reliability. This one strikes the perfect balance between affordability and quality.Customer service has also been top-notch. The company clearly stands behind their product and is available to answer any questions you might have. It’s always great to know there’s support available if you need it.In conclusion, I’m extremely happy with this purchase. It has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can confidently recommend it to anyone. Whether you’re looking for something practical, reliable, or just a great value, this product is the perfect choice. I’m sure it will serve you well for a long time.

A Spot on Your Bookshelf Whispers to You... "Yalom..."
If you are in mental health offering any form of Psychotherapy and have not read this book, shame on you.A LOT of reviews stress this as a book for beginners... no. It is a book for everyone. It's like engaging in a conversation with someone who has practiced in the field for decades... oh, wait... right.Yalom speaks as a VERY well seasoned clinician offering insight that no MS, MA, MSW, MSN, MD, DO, PsyD, or PhD program can provide. In this regard it is great for beginners. But there are things he brings up that even clinician's who think they have it all figured out will likely benefit from (to suggest otherwise is folly). As other reviewers have mentioned, perhaps he has a flavor of narcissism. I believe that he is aware of this and I'm not so sure that the high value he places on himself and his experience is unfounded. I also suspect he could jump right in to such a conversation and articulate his own agreement/disagreement (as well as others') perception of this label.Regardless of how you view him as a person/personality, even the highest critic of his book would surely admit that at least 75% of this content is highly valuable for clinicians, both the green and the ripe (maybe even the rotten?).Not too many of the reviews credit the excerpt at the end which ties in some newer psychological/psychiatric developments: namely neuroscience, localization, fMRI, etc.Writing Style: Engaging- C

This Book Is Amazing & So insightful!!
This book is absolutely amazing!! It is a compilation of Psychiatrist Dr. Irvin Yalom's thirty-five years' work as a therapist. It provides so much insight from real case studies on how patients and therapists alike can get the most out of therapy. I highly recommend this book!

Nice read
A surprising easy to read book that touch on existential topics and a profession that I am not a part of. I appreciate the wisdom and advice given in this book - although they are directed to therapists, I believe those advises are mostly applicable to anyone aspiring to be a compassionate, genuine, and engaging person.Took a star off for Yalom’s hostility to brief therapy, obsession with dream analysis and constant referral to his other books. Otherwise I really enjoyed my time with this book

Insightful and Articulate
You learn so much detail of a long term therapists experience and the truths of what his experience was. How he learned and overcame and challenges and everything it taught him. Very practical examples in the book and reflect on real life stories. Talks about broad topics that are important in therapy but also specific techniques you can use. No pressure on thinking his way is the best and encourages readers to use his suggests or not. Very helpful as a young person wanting to pursue this field of study

Filled with Wisdom; Chapters are Just Right
I highly recommend this book for new as well as seasoned clinicians/therapists.Every mini chapter provides such wisdom, clear perspective that as a psychologist it validated my curious questions or anxiety about things I might have done. I love that Dr Yalom allowed the reader to see his fallibility which helped me debunk the idea of the “perfect” therapist who must do everything right.I have used this book over and over again, reading and refreshing my mind of this sheer wisdom.BTW, if you like this book, you should read “Love Executioner” another one of his great works.
