I have at least 50 creative writing books to which I needed ready access. This bookshelf is well constructed. The manufacturer really made the effort to make this bookshelf very sturdy. It looks great too. It's solid and holds a lot of weight. Also, I was pleased with how I could assemble it quickly.

I spent hours and hours looking for office furniture that looked good, would be hopefully durable, easy to assemble, and fit my space requirements. Unfortunately, some of these are hard to determine without having hands on - something that just isn't an option for these bigger items. In any case, I bought this with a matching set that included this, a file cabinet, a smaller box type shelf, and a full L shaped desk with hutch. This fit in perfectly with the set and looked great once assembled. Overall, the product was fairly easy to assemble and came well packed. The wood is a standard particle board for most pieces. All you need for assembly on all of these different furniture pieces is a philips screwdriver and a hammer. I would recommend also having a partner to help assemble as some of the pieces can be a bit big.This cabinet was super fast assembly and decent enough durability. It requires a lot of nails to get the back on securely. It is nice since four of the five shelves can be adjusted to many different heights. As with any shelving, you want to put the heavier stuff on bottom, but this shelf is pretty sturdy on its own.Overall, the quality is better than the light IKEA type of furniture, but less than a high quality solid wood build. I would recommend it and haven't had any problems with it after using it day in and out for several months.

Nice bookshelf, easy to assemble. Overall looks good, seems to be good quality (only the back is not wood/wood like material but hard cardboard), and does its job. The second shelf from the bottom is fixed; I wish I could have had the option to select where to put the fixed shelf to optimize the space as needed, but this is not a big deal.

I'm very happy with my bookshelf. My 21 year old cousin put it together for me and it only took him 45 min. It's a very practical and sturdy bookshelf. It looks very nice in my home.

The box arrived overnight and in excellent condition. Slowly unpacked and inspected contents. Everything looked good (no scuff marks or cracks) and in correct quantities. Carefully reviewed instructions before and throughout assembly process. Instructions were quite good. Assembled bookcase at a very slow pace (by myself...helper unnecessary). No power tools! Hand screwdriver only. Correctly orienting bolts when threading into holes is imperative, otherwise bolts might by crooked and then cams won't engage bolt heads. Decided to forego installing poster-board backing; open shelves look better. Considering what I paid, I'm glad I purchased this bookcase. Definitely recommend.

The back of the cabinet is flimsy, not sturdy

This bookcase was perfect for my bedroom. The five shelves offer plenty of space for figures, decor, books, and can be put at different heights as needed. It's very sturdy and a good weight - not too flimsy or heavy. Assembly was straightforward and didn't take much time at all. Overall, a great piece of furniture that is worth the money. Highly recommend!
