If you don’t like people striking up conversations about how cool your phone case is, you probably shouldn’t buy this. I was a total loser and outcast before I got this phone case that looks like a cassette tape, and now I am the coolest, most popular person in town. I now have many friends and lovers because of this phone case.

I needed a new case for my iPhone X and wanted it to be cool looking… and this is pretty cool looking. After spending hours toggling back and forth on Amazon finding different “cassette tape” looking covers from various companies, I landed on this one. The reviews were all over the place though, so I was hopefully optimistic. After receiving it, it’s really not bad at all. This is a mid grade product that doesn’t feel very cheap, but it’s also obviously not Apple or Otterbox quality. I don’t need a ton of protection since my phone is 4 years old, but it does offer semi hard TPU plastic that fits the phone pretty well. It does offer raised edges for the front screen and a raised portion for the camera, so when you set it down, nothing should be touching the glass or the camera. Overall: -pretty good quality case, but if you’re going for ultimate device protection get a name brand case made for protection. -precise button covers and slits for speakers, and charge port; but not so much for the back camera cutout. The back camera cutout is about 10% bigger than the camera. So it does protect the camera, and it doesn’t block it or anything, the hole is just a little too big, which I suppose is just an aesthetic thing. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s noticeable when you look. -the graphic is printed on the outside of the case, so I hope it doesn’t scratch over time. It’s got a slight matte finish on the graphic so it’s nice to hold… but the image quality of the cassette image on the case is blurrier than the product images. It’s not grossly zoomed in and it’s not ridiculous (the shown product images had be thinking there were actual faux divots for the cassette reel, but that’s not the pristine image quality in the images, in actuality). -while the graphic is fully printed on the back, the sides are crystal clear. I sort of like it since it resembles a cassette tape more, but the color of your iPhone sides will affect how cool the final result is. Space Gray looks good, but I do not know how Stainless Steel or Rose Gold would look. Not a bad novelty case for the price. It offers “acceptable” protection. The cassette image on the case isn’t crystal clear (but also not bad). I’m glad I bought this.

I love my new phone case. I get so many compliments about having the cassette and having people say it brings back so many memories!

It’s a good product!

Not very thick material and probably would have zero protection for your phone. The design is fairly cheap looking, but cute for the price.
