Lovely to look at and sounds nice.
I bought this for my 9 year old done birthday. It was one of the lightning deals and I just thought he would like it. I've tried to get him into playing music before and bought a guitar which is just an ornament but thought he might like to play with this and see if he can make some tunes.This item is lovely to look at, it's a lovely colour of wood and had a cutout in the shape of a stag, it comes with a stand so can be displayed but also comes with a nice protective zip up case to protect it. There's an instruction book showing some techniques and tabs and referring you to a YouTube video for tuning the instrument (it comes with a little hammer for tuning also). The sound is lovely apart from one key that needs to be tapped and tuned with the hammer. As there's loads of videos on YouTube of kalimba music and some show the tab so I'm hoping he learns some simple tunes and works up to more complex stuff. It's an unusual gift but he likes it both to look at and play. From a parents perspective it isn't too loud so he can play it without it being too noisy.

Good product
I bought this as a gift but I couldn't resist having a go on it first myself. It seems well made and looks attractive. It's very easy to play and sounds lovely. I'm sure it would be fairly easy to learn to play basic tunes. I'm happy with my purchase. The only negative is that the stand that accompanies it is a bit cheap looking, but the case is quite good.

Great item
Brought this for a gift for my niece (14) and she loves it! She had learned to find it and started playing it after watching sims YouTube videos - it sounds lovely- well made product

All the pitch are inaccurate but quality is good
When I received it all the pitches are significantly inaccurate and it sounded very weird. Make sure you know how to adjust the pitches and have the patient to do it for all before you buy it. The pitch sounds amazing after adjusting and the quality is good.
