Rockers are great but the quality is bad, expect to re-sole in less than a month.
These are the only RYN Rocker shoes I could get in my size. Male size 9.Shoe looks great, fits as expected, was delivered quickly, however...They do not stand up! I purchased these on 2/26/2018, today is 3/17/2018 and the soles are already separating from the shoe.I am purchasing 2 more because they are the only rockers I can find. I expect to have to glue the soles back on or have them done soon. The last pair I had did the same thing but I need them for the support and help they provide to my back.Today is 7/28 at 5 months the lower portion of the Shoe has now broke down beyond the point of repair. Bottom Line - This is the Bottom of the line "Walking Shoe" in quality and a Bad Choice if you plan to use them after purchase!
My husband and I had high hopes for this product as he has liked the "rocker bottom" style soles since they were first brought into the limelight by skechers fitness shoes several years back. Now it has become difficult to find a good, quality "rocker bottom" soled shoe - when I researched the matter prior to making this purchase - we thought we had truly found what we have been in search of for so long.I purchased a pair of these for my 73 year old husband several months ago when i found them available in his size, as 12 1/2 sized shoes can be extremely difficult to find these days. I gave them to him just a few weeks ago for a special occasion we were celebrating. He only wore them a few times when suddenly the sole separated from the shoe itself almost making him trip since it was hanging down when he made the first step forward after it separated and he had no idea, nor did he suspect, it had happened. We were truly disappointed and shocked that a seemingly good shoe with such a high price tag, and one that had received such decent reviews on amazon, should react in such a way. Being sure it was an anomoly, i immediately wrote to the seller to inquire about product support of any kind. The company response - "it's too late to do anything about it." They did brag about having an "extended" return period of 60 days for defective products, but went on to say it was even too late for that. They had the information about my husband's age (which should have added up to minimum wear and tear in most cases), as well as the fact that he had only received them a few weeks earlier and they had not been worn since purchase. What was more shocking to me as a consumer was their apparent total lack of interest in the performance of such a high ticket item in the "sneaker" line. They asked nothing about the situation in which it happened, the where, why, or how apparently did not concern them at all. There was no question whatsoever about how much use they had received or what the wear on the sole itself looked like - in other words - was there any "thread" left on the shoe.Maybe times have changed in the customer satisfaction area in 2016, but i had hoped that didn't extend to the company's view of the quality of the products which they place in the market place and put out for individual's consumption. The end result is they will do nothing for us due to the length of time since purchase, regardless of time or amount of use on the shoe itself. This was an expensive lesson learned for us. We normally do not need to buy new "walking shoes" every few weeks, especially $100 ones. After buying these Ryn shoes we do. Bottom line is this will be the last Ryn product we will ever buy and i certainly would never recommend them to anyone that is looking to get any real "use" out of a pair of shoes!Good luck if you have or do!

An excellent alternative
I have had two pairs of MBT shoes. One is currently off to be resoled. The second could not be resoled because the midsole had broken down. Given the price of MBTs, I did not want to purchase another pair, especially since I had been reading that the originator of the shoe design had left the company. Enter Ryn. While I do not know if it will be possible to resole these, the price was about the same as having my MBTs resoled when a new pair of insoles was included. Construction looks to be excellent and there is the added bonus of an extra pair of laces and a lace-lock. The lace lock allows one to simply tighten the laces and they stay tightened. There is no knot to untie. Just pinch and release. What is good: Like the MBT shoes, these provide good support for the feet. The walking motion is different than with flat shoes. These work different muscles than flat shoes and may help if one has a problem with shin splints, for example. The book claims clinically verified reductions in stress on hip, knee, and ankle joints. My subjective experience is that it is accurate. What could be improved: The insole could use a bit of gel in the heel area. I have been battling with plantar fasciitis, and a bit more cushioning in the heel would be appreciated. The booklet that explains the use and care of the shoes is nice, but could really stand to be proofread by someone with a better grasp of the English language. For example, under "Handling and keeping" is a point which states, "Keep away from firearms. They can melt or can be deformed." I am pretty sure that what is meant is "open flames" and not "firearms." I am sure that the US distributor of Ryn products would be well qualified to assist in revising this booklet.Overall opinion: Yes, I am glad I bought these shoes and would likely do so again.

I love these shoes
I love these shoes!!!!! Yes they are heavy, yes they are stiff but oh my god are they comfortable!!!! The minute I put them on the pain I've had in my feet, knees and hips for the last several months vanished!!!! I'm definitely going to buy several more pairs of these shoes! Today, the red sole let loose from the rest of the shoe! I've only had these a couple of weeks. We are trying shoe glue on it to re-attach the sole to the shoe hopefully it will work. The left shoe is doing the same thing. I just ordered another pair and I hope those don't do the same thing. It's such a shame because these shoes have really helped me and I don't want to have to return them and then have to buy another pair of shoes that might or might not be as comfortable as these.

if felt like my bones were being pushed together in the upper ...
Although I have purchased a number of shoes from this brand in the same size, this pair did not fit at all. I could barely squeeze my foot into the shoes even when loosening the laces to the widest possible width and, even so, if felt like my bones were being pushed together in the upper part of my foot. The blue plastic parts on the outside appear to have compromised the flexibility of the leather. They also appear to affect the ability of the leather to breathe. I love the rocker shoes but this one does not meet my needs.

Don't buy!
The shoes were too tight and took me awhile the walk in. The first time i took them on a proper walk both shoes fell apart at the sole. I don't think this was a genuine ryn shoe as previous trainers lasted ages and were extremely comfortable.

Double check and triple check sizing with seller to make sure they’re correct.
I appreciate these are American sizing however, they are not correctly labelled. I went with them because they say uk 6.5/EU 40 which should be a US 9-9.5, these are a US 8 and therefore they are tiny!
