This skateboard is very similar to a surfboard in dynamic properties. it's good for carving, cruising, and land surfing. Board is easy responsive, hassle-free and gives great surf style turning experience. Deck shape has great grip qualities and keeps you well on the board during extreme turns.

Feels like a board made by people who don't really skate or surf
When I got the board, it felt stiff and hard to generate speed by pumping. I figured I'd have to set it up myself. First thing I noticed was that they put both of the speed rings between the truck's axle and the inside bearing. There was nothing between the outside bearings and nut. So I had to take off all four wheels and fix that. The back truck also needed to be looser.A big selling point was the Smoothstar Thruster truck. I adjusted it to be as loose as possible and it still felt really stiff and hard generate speed. When I compared it to my friend's Waterborne, the Waterborne can easily generate speed from a stand still without pushing. On the same terrain, the Smoothstar required a push off and even then doesn't accelerate like the Waterborne did. The Waterborne outperformed the Smoothstar in all areas, better speed generation, tighter turns, etc.

Great quality and unique board
Such a great board to learn how to surf skate on and train for surfing on land. Takes some getting used to, but got the hang of it on the first day ripping up and down my street. Looking forward to finding some small banks and hills to rip on. Love the custom Bali bamboo deck!
