CAP Cable Machine Attachments – LAT Bars, Triceps Bars, Handles & Ropes – Multiple Styles & Sizes

Delivery: Comes delivered in 3 boxes (2 are for the weight stacks, 1 is for the machine). Machine box looked like it fell off the truck while cruising down the highway! Box was halfway open, but in the end, all of the parts were there and no damage to any parts. Assembly: It was a little overwhelming. I did it myself, there was really nothing that *required* multiple people. It did take me around 5-6 hours, but I went very slow, reading each step 2-3 times as I went through it to make sure I didn't miss anything. The machine itself went together quickly, but the pulley system was complex. But in the end, the instructions were spot on, and all parts were accounted for, went together quite smoothly and I'm not an expert at putting anything together! I would recommend organizing all the parts on the floor before jumping into assembly. Especially the pulley parts. Size/Weight: It's about 6'6" tall, 5'6" length, and 3'5" width (with the arm bars). If you plan to use sitting rows, add an extra few feet on length, however long your legs are, for clearance. Obviously with it put together, it's heavy! On hardwood floors, you can slide it if you need to adjust position, but it's heavy enough that I wouldn't try to lift it once you have it in position. I didn't see any reason to put a mat under the machine, mines not moving, ever! But I would guess that you could if you wanted to. Accessories: The machine comes with several detachable pieces, including the preacher pad, hand-grip pulley, and lat bar. After 1 use of the preacher pad, I put it away, just didn't have the right feel. The lat bar is ok, not a very good grip and not very wide, but serves it's purpose. The hand-grip pulley, not really sure if I'll ever use it. I would recommend that you purchase additional accessories for a more comfortable workout. Pull down rope, triceps v-bar, straight bar, or anything else that makes your workout more pleasant with the right equipment. Use: I've used it a few times now, sort of getting in the groove of working out at home instead of paying the monthly gym membership. I was skeptical, didn't know if I could get a true workout with just this machine, a sit-up bench (purchase separately), and a handful of various size dumbbells (purchased separately). What I'm finding is that this machine does quite a bit of the basic exercises very well. The chest press and chest fly are as good as what my gym provides. Lat pull-down likewise, couldn't ask for much more (although as stated earlier, you can purchase a higher quality lat pull-down bar for a more comfortable workout). Triceps pull-down is a little different, you have to stand back a bit further than I'm used to, but it works fairly well once you get used to it. I did purchase separately a v-bar and rope, which makes the triceps pull-down exercise so much better. Very impressed with the standing calf raises, very easy to use if you purchase a cheap $5 step platform and place on the foot plate to keep your heels off the ground. I was also impressed with the ab crunches, but I would purchase a pull-down rope instead of using the lat bar as shown on the exercise guide that comes with the machine. The sitting rows, with the foot plate in the upward position, works great, but get a little cushion or something to sit on when using. I was disappointed in the leg extensions and leg curls. Very awkward feeling, not enough room on the extension, and the weight felt very heavy. I don't use the machine for bicep workouts, I use dumbbells. Overall, minus the leg extension/curl, the machine has worked like a champ. For the price paid ($289) this has been a phenomenal purchase! I was very skeptical when I ordered it, but am not regretting this purchase a single bit now that I've used it several times. Although lacking with the leg extension/curls, and package was totally mangled at my door, I'm still giving it 5 stars due to it exceeding my expectations for the price I paid for a home gym.

I have a home gym (Golds Gym XRS50) that came with some various attachments but I was in need of a tricep rope in order to perform certain exercises. After some research (comparing prices, quality, reviews, etc) I decided on the CAP Barbell Deluxe Tricep Rope which I found here on Amazon. PROS PRICE - The cost of this tricep rope was not bad at all and, overall, it is worth every penny and then some. QUALITY - The quality of the tricep rope is excellent. The material is solid and the entire product feels extremely sturdy when in use. I have used this tricep rope for quite a while now and I have noticed absolutely no wear and tear what-so-ever. It is still like brand new. APPEARANCE - The black color is nice (not too dark, not too light) and, although the picture in the ad makes it appear shiny, the tricep rope has more of a mat finish. SIZE - The tricep rope is not too big nor is it too small to perform any of multiple exercises (Tricep Pulldowns, Overhead Extensions, Behind-the-Neck Seated Ab Crunches, etc). I have a large neck (19") and the rope fits comfortable around my neck when performing Seated Ab Crunches. CONS KNOBS - The two knobs at the end of the rope are constructed very well and feel extremely durable. However, the flat "top" of the knob can rub on your hands a bit during periods of extended use. It digs into the meat of your hand a little bit if you are using a heavy amount of weight to perform your exercise. It isn't painful in any way, shape or form, but it is a tad uncomfortable at times. OVERALL This is a great product. It is extremely well-built and reliable. I would recommend this to anyone.

Very good quality. Well constructed- Heavy duty. I use this primarily for my heavier kettlebell curls and rows. Works perfect. Great value.

I would like to start off by saying that this is good bar, it has heft to it which makes it feel like pulldown bars you would find at comercial gyms. My only complains would be that the rotating piece near the anchor point came with paint chipped. And that the knurling is more passive near the narrower parts. The wide grip knurling is way better and it would’ve been nice if that was the standard for the whole bar. That being said i would buy again.

There are so many positives about this attachment. If is sturdy, comfortable to use, and most importantly it isolates the triceps. I used this in a workout (triceps push down) and I could really feel my triceps burn, much more than if I used a straight bar or grips as I have in the past. Some reviews I have read on CAP products have indicated that the item was "dirty" or "used". Perhaps I can provide some perspective. Both my brother and father are machinists and I have been in a number of machine shops in my life. The lubricants that they use in the tooling process can often make a product look dirty and could possibly do something to the rubber. This might be why people have noted that these products look used/dirty. This item is made in China and sold for a very reasonable price. The welds do not look pretty but are solid and do not affect the functionality. I've seen similar units sell for $25-35 with a brand name attached to them. If you ask if the item is perfect I would say no. HOWEVER, for the price this is an amazing item and definitely deserving of 5 stars!

excellent produit, solide et pratique

Pros: good price, quick delivery, sturdy, heavy bar. Decent rubber grips. Cons: Scratched heavily beside swivel and on bar (see attached photos). Because of scratching by swivel, swivel itself doesn’t move completely freely but will move. Also received random 13.5” metal piece in box, clearly part of some other set (photo attached). Overall, I’ll keep it and it should work ok, but “like new” was a stretch.

Very well made as far as construction is concerned. Definitely the heaviest attachment in weight that I have purchased for my 2 Cable Crossover Machine. Finish is a little uneven, but that is the only thing I can really say against it. It does look more like a brushed on finish rather chrome, which others have commented on. No rust though. There is a lubricating hole in the center swivel section, and it is there for a reason. Before using, I would highly recommend putting a half dozen drops or so of 3-in-1 oil in, and turn the center section a number of times to lubricate it evenly. This will get rid of the squeaking sound and cause it to move more freely when you are using it with your cable machine. I have found that 3-in-1 oil works better on the swivel types of attachments like this, as it is a little thicker and works much longer than any of the spray type lubricants. Hope this helps.
