I thought these ARTISTIK 50 half pans with NO duplicates were for kids until I bought a friend’s daughter this beautiful watercolor set. WOW, I was amazed by the incredible colors (NO duplicates) and how well they mix, saturation, intensity of color and it’s endless range of colors with 50 to start off with and easy mixing for an infinite selection of gorgeous, translucent watercolors and excellent lightfast ratings.I purchased this second set for myself as a practice set but they have quickly become one of my favorite watercolors to paint with. I started creating and painting intricate fantasy maps and these paints have been very satisfying and fun to paint with. This “50” 1/2 pan set stimulates my creativity and are a real joy to work with.I am very sad to see that these beautiful watercolor paints are no longer available. I am so surprised by this. These paints are great for beginners, students and greater. One of the women in my painting group is a professional artist and so is my best friend and both of them love these paints too. All of us do.If Amazon is able to carry these amazing watercolors again, don’t write them off like I almost did because I underestimated them by their packaging. This company makes great watercolors and at least 3 different watercolor half pan sets but this set is my favorite. This 50 half pan set in a silver metal box with a clasp, reusable for carrying pencils and other art supplies is like painting with inks, gorgeous, intense, translucent colors that can easily be watered down for a pale wash of colors.I am truly sad and disappointed that this glorious watercolor set is no longer available through Amazon.I hope this wonderful watercolor 1/2 pan set, 50 count, becomes available again through Amazon. If it does, grab one and have fun and create!

The media could not be loaded.  These paints are pretty dang good. Im not artist by any means but ive been exploring watercolor for about a year now. And I had a shopping habit lol. So I've test quite a few cheaper paint these by far are the best so far. I put them right about winsor and newton cotman set. They're right up there with the koi in vibrancy. I haven't used them in a painting yet. But from just switching them I can already tell they are going to be my go to paints

Bought this as a gift she loved it so I’m not complaining. It had a good color selection, was small enough to move about, wasn’t too bulky which is nice. These aren’t the best of paints but for what it is it’s a good value. I’d buy it again for sure as a gift.

Great set for the kids! They look really nice and have a deep rich color and doesn't clump up and get thin like the ones we had last time did. A large variety of colors for any quick project. I would still go to my tubes for bigger works.

The colors are not half-pans, as the description suggests, but more like quarter-pans, being only 7/16” by 9/16”. The plastic liner is a very thin piece of what feels like styrene, and will probably crack with use. The brush has a nice tip, but it’s too short for practical use.The colors and the brush are too small for children. Adults and serious students will want larger pans, and a better palette. Students and those looking for a portable set to take afield need larger pans and a more focused selection of tints. For not much more money I’d recommend a basic Cotman set from Windsor-Newton (available on Amazon for under $30) for adults looking for a starter set. For children I’d suggest a set with a few large pans and large brushes.

I’ve yet to use these properly but so far, they’re quite good. They are quite transparent and you need more than one layer to get a vivid colour which makes sense as this is a cheap set with a lot of colours.I will be leaving a better review once I’ve played with them more but so far I’d say they’re good for beginners.

The like is that the colours in this paint pallet look good and vibrant, however the dislikes are, this paint pallet was purchased for my 12 year old grandson, who is just learning to paint, there are 50 colours in the paint pallet, however there is no swatch, or colour identification, so when he is watching a teaching video, explaining he needs to mix certain colours to create a colour, he has no chance, due to colours not being identified.So has they say, these paints may have 50 colours, but they are as useful as a chocolate fireguard, or to put it bluntly, no use whatsoever.Thank youMr Gil Bennett

I like the variety of colours in this palette. I want to paint landscapes and there are lots of blues, greens, browns and greys to do that, with a lot of colours for other things as well of course. The colours themselves are strong. The box is net, and the integral mix pallet very useful.

This set was bought as a small present and it arrived on time. However the outer metal box was bashed in two places and so I have returned it and ordered a replacement. A casual look inside showed it looks good value for money and so I have no qualms about ordering another box. If it hadn't been a present I may have kept it as would have been fine to work with. Hopefully the replacement box will be 100%.
