Two-Color Paint-doku Paperback – August 6, 2013

I am an avid anything-doku fan, so this book peaked my interest from the first time I saw it on the shelf. I do multicolor picture puzzles on a regular basis, so I'm not a beginner. This book has lots of variety, and most of the time, you can tell what it is before you finish! I'm excited that I'm being challenged by each puzzle, and have only had to erase sections a few times. The colors used in here are repeated, so there's no need for a ton of pencils. I have a baggie with the 8 or 9 colors that are used, and I keep it around with the book. I am 45 puzzles in, and just getting to the long sideways ones. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the pencil lead rubs onto the other side when the book is closed, but not enough to cause a problem.To advanced enthusiasts, this is a keeper. One puzzle can take anywhere from 1-3 hrs, depending on your skill and attention! To beginners, it may be a challenge, but once you get going, you will have a ton of fun!The spiral binding makes it easy to fold in half when working on, or laying flat, depending on how you like to do the puzzles. The paper is good quality, even after erasing sections. One of my favorites so far!

No one does it better than Conceptis. These puzzles are not for beginners, I cannot stress that enough. I have loved these puzzles for years and complete and re-complete puzzle books so I am quite experienced at them. The Two Color Paint-doku requires a seasoned puzzle expert like myself to completely change the way these puzzles are solved (for example, in traditional Paint-doku, each number is separated by an empty space but, in two color, only like colors are required to be separated by a blank space, if a red and black number follow one another, there does not have to be any space between these two colors to solve the puzzle). On the other hand, because it is the first two-color book published by Conceptis, to my knowledge, it offers completely new puzzles and new solutions, as well as a more diverse picture in contract to the standard, old fashioned, black and white. As always, I love the puzzle book Conceptis and continue to wish you would publish more than 1 every couple of years because I simply can't get enough. If you are a fan of these types of puzzles and you like a challenge, this is definitely the book for you try next.

Love this book. Spiral lays flat, nice paper for writing on, good mix of challenging puzzles. This is the second time I've bought this so I can do them again.

This is a very nicely put together book of puzzles - so far they have been nicely challenging but not impossible. I like that different puzzles use different colors for the second tone, it gives the book a very nice feel. The paper is good and the spiral binding makes working both sides easy. The only downside is that the puzzles have no marker by them indicating level of difficulty, but it is otherwise so nice I'll give it a pass on that. Overall a very nice puzzle book.

The quality of this book is excellent, however I find even the easiest puzzles far beyond my ability and I can make at least a good effort at even the hardest puzzles in "regular" Paint-doku/nonograms/oekaki. The designs are so pretty, and I really wish I could get through them!

hope your up for a challenge been playing with these kind of puzzles for a long time, this book with the two colors is a real challenge if your looking for one I'd go with this

I'm a fan of any type of Sudoku but this one is just plain-old fun! I hope they make more of the Paint-duku because it's truly fun to use colored pencils with the pictures and a more pleasurable puzzle to figure out with two color choices. I don't want to go back to just regular-pencil picture books after this one!

I'm trying to progress from black and white to colour. It is more difficult but I'm starting to get the hang of it. This book has a variety of sizes so I can practice with small screens then progress to larger ones.The book arrived on time and in good condition.

I've loved these puzzles for a long time, and this is a fun spin on the classic black and white. They are logical and the pictures tend to make sense :)
