Get this i7!!! Great computer, and not just for the price!
I’ll keep this review short, so I’ve been out of the computer game for quite some time at least 10 years and needed a PC to run some programs and my 3-D printer that I picked up on Amazon. I sent a few computers that I found on Amazon to friends who know more about computers than me and needless to say they are a bunch of computer snobs lol if you’re like me and people are telling you that you need to spend more money and get the latest and greatest, don’t. Unless you’re a hard-core gamer or something like that, his computer will work for 90% of most people. I’ve only had the computer for a few days now, but it works. Flawlessly set up, was extremely easy, and it runs all my programs without hesitation. Very fast and very clean with pretty much zero bloatware loaded on it. The graphics card is integrated into the hard drive so you can’t upgrade it unfortunately but I played a few games on it and a real flight simulator and it works just fine not the greatest but pretty good. I did upgrade the USB Wi-Fi. The one that comes with it is pretty cheesy and I was only getting 24 MB per second download. I bought one on Amazon for like 20 bucks and it’s much better. The mouse that it comes with is pretty much disposable so plan on spending another $15 on a better wireless mouse. Other than that it’s an amazing computer and not just for the price. I will update if I have issues with it for longevity, but so far definitely five stars! UPDATE: Oct 2024, I have had this computer for over a year now, and I am still loving it! In fact, my work gave me a newer laptop that has windows 11 and I hate it. I will be shopping for a personal laptop for myself on Amazon, and I will make sure that it has Windows 10 Pro instead of Windows 11. And I will definitely be buying an HP brand laptop, because this desktop has more than exceeded all my expectations.

Great Bang For The Buck!
This machine arrived early and in nearly flawless condition, the exterior appeared to have been repainted and there was a little overspray on the interior, nothing to get upset about, it was a good paint job. It's pretty big for a "small form factor" box, not huge but it may be larger than you're imagining. The inside is nice and roomy, with good airflow, and it's well ventilated and very quiet. The SSD is zippy, it boots quickly and with 32 gigs of RAM most functions take very little time, the processor is an older model but that doesn't seem to be much of a bottleneck, when I compile things from source code it goes pretty quickly. I can't really speak to the Windows 10 install, that lasted about half an hour before I wiped the hard drive and installed Linux, but it was there as promised. I did notice there seemed to be no way to recover it if I had wanted to so an accident with your install would leave you without a way to reinstall Windows save for purchasing a new license which could be a mark against this computer. Gaming isn't really the object with this computer but the onboard graphics will manage some light games, you're not going to play the latest Windows only heavy duty titles on this machine but if you're looking for that you're not looking at computers like this. If you're looking for an every day use computer to surf the web and maybe do office work this is a screaming deal.

GREAT VALUE
I REALLY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN I ORDERED THIS REFURB HP MACHINE. I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE ORDERING A REFURD DELL FROM AMAZON AND HAD TO SEND IT BACK. I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE THIS TIME. I TOOK THE COVER OFF TO INSPECT UPON ARRIVAL AND WAS AMAZED AT HOW CLEAN IT WAS. IT LOOKED TO ME AS IF IT HAD NEVER BEEN USED. IT IS ADVERTISED WITH 32 GIG OF RAM BUT THIS ONE CAME WITH ONLY 20 GIG AND THAT'S OK BECAUSE THE PERFORMANCE IS GREAT. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. VERY FAST. 200 MEG DOWNLOADS ETC. A VERY GOOD COMPUTER FOR THE MONEY IMO. SURE IT WON'T DO WIN 11 BUT A SCREAMER FOR 185 BUCKS IT'S A KEEPER.

Not satisfied - returned
Refurbished tower that had been cleaned and wrapped with a thin layer of new vinyl. Was nice, but the power button did not function properly which gave me doubts about the unit. Returned.

Great machine for the price
Got the machine delivered as promised in excellent condition. Fired it right up. Easy set up. Nice performing machine -- it is not a gaming machine -- with 32 GB of RAM, Quad Processor and SSD hard drive. For less than $200. Can't beat it. Update: Primary drive failed on April 12, 2024 after 5-1/2 months. Not entirely surprised for a refurb. No telling how long the drive was used previously. I had a spare in my closet, and put it in. I also had an emergency backup drive (USB) and was able to re-install OS. A bit time-consuming, but that's a function of Windows 10. Hint: Always keep a emergency back up device. Otherwise, in cases like this, you'd be buying another copy of Windows.
