Omg! It work very easily!
If I could give it more than five stars I would. I have an older Samsung TV probably about 10 years old and I literally opened up. The package grabbed two AAA batteries put it in and it worked best purchase ever more than five stars. In fact, I think the TV is older than 10 years now that I think about it.

Worked out the box.
I do like the remotes that came. One of the two failed in the first 6 months. Nice to have two for our family. One remote failed but customer service is issuing refund.

The perfect replacement!
This remote is just what I needed! I purchased a new Samsung Crystal UHD TV model CU7000 and it came with the worst remote ever. No number buttons or the typical option buttons etc., so I purchased this Samsung Universal remote to replace it. It was perfect! I kind of freaked out when I first received it because there were no instructions included. But I had read a previous review on this remote that said it worked right out of the box, so I put in a couple batteries (not included) and gave it a try. First I turned on my TV with the original remote. I expected some kind of "new device" notice or set-up screen to come up but there wasn't any, so I decided to just try the buttons on the new one. I adjusted the volume, changed the channel, used the previous button etc. They all worked! Even the Guide button brought up the program guide! I don't connect my smart TV to the internet. I use an HD antenna, and I didn't even need to reset the Source. It detected all the settings on my new TV without me having to do anything except turn it on and go. In the attached picture, the original remote that came with my TV is on the left. My new remote on the right. This is the easiest remote to use, I am soooooo glad I got this new remote! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has the 'so frustrating' remote that comes with a new Samsung TV.

Okay replacement, not as durable as OEM
I bought this remote to replace a broken one. It’s a bit more basic than what we had originally, but all the basic functions are there. Buttons were a bit stiff, however. We’ve had this remote for a couple years, and now the power button stopped working. For the price it wasn’t a total loss, I guess.
