It is alright.

I read hundreds of reviews on this product...which made me skeptical about purchasing it...however when i received it, it worked perfectly. No problems with compatibility like others have experienced...HOWEVER, it DOES run out pretty quick. That part of the reviews are very true...I even read one person saying their printer would not allow printing with a "warning" displayed. My printer has given me a "low ink" warning but continues to print. Works fine...

Great product, I just cannot afford to buy these cartridges elsewhere

I have used a few of the original Lexmark 4 cartridges that were not refilled ones, and I could print just fine so they do work. The problem is that these cartridges just do not last and are not worth this price at all.Also, stay away from the "refill program" Lexmark 4 inkjet cartridges because I have heard they don't work for long and I believe it. I once tried to get one refilled and the guy told me that there is a chip in each cartridge and it tells the printer when it's done despite being full of ink, and the chip can't be reset. And more importantly beware of others trying to send you one in place of an original cartridge like "quantum of electronics" tried to do to me... A fool I am not.My advice: If you print mainly black and white, go now and throw your inkjet printer off the top of your nearest high school's bleachers and go get a Brother laser printer that uses cartidges that will cost a little more but will print 2600 pages. You can also learn online how to refill those cartridges with a $4 bottle of toner yourself, and end up saving much more money in the long run. My brother printer has already paid for itself if I compare how much I would have spent at a copy center with the amount of prints I have made.

This happened not once but twice. It will not happen a third time because I am ordering brand new cartridges now - they work.I purchased one of these and it worked for about 20-25 pages. Then I got nothing but a "CARTRIDGE ERROR" printer message every time I tried to print. Alignments didn't help. Cleaning didn't help. Nothing I could do would fix it other than replace the cartridge.I ordered another one of these "Return Program Cartridges", thinking the first time was merely a fluke. It wasn't. I got the same message after about the same amount of printing. Again, nothing I could do would alleviate the problem other than ... yes, buying yet ANOTHER CARTRIDGE!Needless to say, I ordered a brand new one this time and it has worked great, printing clearly and without error throughout the entirety of its ink.So I had to buy three cartridges in order to have a cartridge that has performed correctly, and to learn this lesson.*** I've already paid for your education, so don't waste your money on "Return Program Cartridges"! ***

The product is what I needed, and it is working fine.

The package arrived quickly. The box was a bit broken but the inside was fine and the cartridge was in good shape. Unfortunatly, I had not use my old printer for a long time and realized that it wasn't working well when I installed the cartridge... So I don't know if the cartridge actually works fine or not as I won't be using it in the end! :-/
