The best well made carry back pack or front.carry
I have alonghaired dachshund mini but 16 pounds. and worry about having to leave quickly. Where we live I worry about earthquakes, tsunamis, first think I have to get Daphne 4 years old. This back pack or front pack is well made and above all it's easy to put on her. She loves it! Usually she is very picky and shrugs off every other outfit I try. She LOVES it and so do I.

Angry old chihuahua
My angry old chihuahua doesn’t do well in public areas with other dogs. I needed something for a dog day out around town. Got many compliments and questions on where to purchase. He is about 20 lbs and it supported him well, was sturdy and comfortable for my husband and him. I wouldn’t try anything over 20 lbs though. We tried several backpack type carriers and this one worked best for him. You can wear it on your front and on your back!

Our final carrier for our dog to go hiking!
I finally found a great dog carrier for my 18lbs chiweenie who injured her ACL. Since we love to take her with us for hiking, that was the saddest news to hear. So, we tried to get a carrier. None of them works; a regular backpack type carrier, a sling bag, a baby carrier wrap and etc. You name it, we must've tried it already. It's either too much stress on our shoulder&back to carry our chunky girl or she feels uncomfortable. Among all the options, we like a sling bag the most. But me and my husband had to take turns every 1 hour to prevent unbalanced weight causing a critical pain on our shoulder&back. Most importantly, the sitting posture in the sling bag wasn't good for my dog's leg. (She limped after a while.) Eventually, I tried this design. Thank god it works! My girl is sitting so comfortably without having pressure on her leg with ACL torn. And we can carry her for hiking without having too much pain. It feels like we're wearing a regular bag. I give 4 starts because we wish the lower back suppoer would be lower to hang on our hip. That'd be even better. But we satisfy for now!

Betty gives it 2 paws up
My pug and I love this front-facing carrier. She’s about 15 pounds and fits in it with room to spare. The design keeps her legs comfortably out, and she seems super secure without being squished. It’s surprisingly comfy to wear, even for longer walks or while doing chores around the house. And the best part? Betty has literally fallen asleep in it multiple times!

Not easy to use
Well made - but here are the problems -loading the pet means putting 4 paws and a tail in - and then zipping up the sides - the dog was great but I was exhausted trying to get her loaded- once she was in -zipping the sides was awkward -then the lack of padding in shoulders made the 12 lb weight uncomfortable - it was difficult to attach the waist strap - but in general very uncomfortable for the user - I can’t imagine carrying her on a walk - which is what I wanted - maybe tiny pets ?

Works well on back
I initially was going to return it because I am too big for it... but I tested it out without using one of the straps, and it works fine as a backpack. I cant hold my dog in front like I initially wanted to because the strap is too small for me (the one that goes around my waist) But I can wear it as a backpack without said strap and its just fine. I use this to take her on electric bike rides and she absolutely loves it!! It takes a minute or so to get her set up in it and what not, but its worth it. She seems to feel safe in it. If your dog is reasonably well trained this should be good. She did try to squirm a couple of times, like for example when a car drove up behind me (at a safe distance) but she knows to get out of the way of cars! So she tried to squirm but I told her to stay and she stopped squirming. I can imagine some dogs would fight and succesfully get out of this as it did not seem to get very tight on her. She's 25lbs, and it feels a bit loose on her with all of her parts through the holes. It does not seem like you can tighten it enough at the top near her neck.. at least for my comfort. I would like it if it was a little tighter around the neck area to make sure she couldnt climb out. She could definitely climb out if she watned to. It only works because she chooses to stay still for me, as she knows I wont take her if she doesnt stay still in it.

Unsafe
The backpack is so cute, but when I was carrying my dog around and then he started moving around. So I checked to see what was happening and the side of the backpack was unzipped. The backpack can unzip very easily, as I am carrying my dog on my back I can't see what is happening, so to me this is very unsafe! I am just glad I checked and he didn't fall.

The bottom strap is a bit small to go across your waist but it still works with just the top strapped. My dog is 20 pounds, when I carry him on my back I can barely feel him.
