Amplify considering the voice recording
This mic booster works excellent, even with a not expensive mixer, the gain is amplify without any problem, and the sound quality still excellent, obviously using the parameters for a different voice frecuency.

Great little booster. Highly recommended.
I have been using the CT 1 for two months in my home studio with excellent results. My signal chain is: SM57 > Mic Booster CT 1 > no-name XLR > MBox 2 Mini > USB port on laptop PC > Audacity. My measurement tools are just my own ears. In practical terms, the input signal is noticeably higher, and I do not detect any changes in tone coloration nor added noise. My application is voice work for corporate training content and podcasting. The attached image my shows results using the above signal chain, 48v phantom power, input gain set to 3:00, and speaking [silence] "the red fox jumped over the lazy dog" [silence]. Track 1 is the SM57 only. Track 2 is the SM57 + CT 1. Let your eyes be the judge! The build quality is good enough for my home studio use. Fitment is comfortably tight/secure. This simple device has elevated the quality of my recordings using my existing gear with no learning curve.

Great sound, great value
Just acquired this little gem and have tested it with an SM57, SM58, MXL V63M, EV N/ 257A and a Pyle PDMIC58 (a great sounding SM58 knock-off for $20.00 USD). Attaching the booster directly to the mics and running through a Behringer XENYX 1202FX board and monitoring through Presonus ERIS 5 monitors and Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphones. This is a very nice and inexpensive way to get noticeably (to my ears) cleaner sound and has allowed me to drastically reduce the gain on my mics. Test bench performance must be pretty good. Graet value, great sound - it was back ordered for nearly a month though so if you need something immediately you may want to look at a CM1 instead. It's basically the same device in a desk top version vice the CT 1.

Compact, quiet, low cost solution for gain hungry dynamic microphones.
I bought this unit due to the compact size thinking it may be a nice portable solution for field recording with some dynamic microphones that require higher gain. It was so cheap it was almost an afterthought. It took several weeks for me to receive it amid the current CCP viral pandemic. It appears well made out of aluminum and seems like a higher quality mass produced product. It is heavy, had nice packaging, solid appearing connectors that fit my Mogami cables (clicked in securely), and a clean smooth finish! A cheap looking serial number sticker is affixed to the unit - it was applied crooked and really detracts from an otherwise very nice looking product. This should have been laser etched in my opinion. As to performance, I tried it on a couple of microphones and compared it to my other microphone pre-preamplifiers (Cloudlifter CL-1 & Cathedral Pipes Durham). I found the noise levels all very low but both the CL-1 and Durham required less preamp gain compared to the Klark Teknik unit in order to reach similar loudness levels. I was a little surprised as it was noticeable. I am unsure if this is unique to my unit or the couple of microphones tested so I plan to spend some additional time using the unit and update the review if I find variation with other microphones.

5 stars from an amateur recording hobbyist.
The amplifier allows me to lower my recorders input, thus reducing the noise floor. The unit is solid. Things to consider: Where do you put it. When attached to the microphone it adds weight, length and a moment arm to the connection. I would recommend leaving it on the stand when used on the microphone. The form factor of the pre-amp prevents it being plugged directly into most mixers or recorders. Perhaps a short patch cable from the mixer would be the way to go if you wish the microphone to be mobile. Performance is satisfactory. I use it with a Tascam DR40's phantom power.

Fantastic
I am a quieter singer for the most part. I like to make alt pop with a sort of hushed vocal, though I do branch out a bit into a louder vocal. But I really needed a boost in volume going into my DAW so I could work immediately with the audio without having to normalize each take or use a similar approach. This really did work even better than I hoped. Somebody complained that it was heavy and fell off their mic. I had the same experience until I realized you sort of have to slightly wiggle it and get it to click onto the mic. Since then, I've had no trouble. At first, it can seem like it's on, but it needs just a little bit more of a push to snap on to your XLR connector. Just make sure you activate your phantom power on your audio interface, or else you won't notice any difference. The boost on this is just amazing for the price. I had considered another much more expensive option, but I have a tight budget as this is my hobby. Honestly, I highly recommend this thing and I probably should buy another one just to have on hand.

Works as well as the much more expensive and well-known brands out there.
Bought one of these on a suggestion from Bark at Obscure Mics. It works as well as any of the "name brand" mic gain boosters that cost 2-4x as much. I use it with a a Shure SM7b, a notoriously gain-hungry microphone, and it does just fine. No audible noise and I really like the fact that it's much more compact and easier to work into tight spaces. Klark Teknik has been a seriously underrated brand for years. This is a hidden gem more folks need to know about. It just works, and at a great price.

Near indisginusable from the CloudLifter CL-1
I bought this after getting the CloudLifter CL-1 to get rid of the clutter on my recording setup. This thing is amazing. Small and produces near indistinguishable gain quality compared to the CL-1 for far cheaper. I also love the build quality. It feels solid and built to last. BTW i use it with the Shure SM7B. If you need a gain boost, just get this already.

I'm new to owning a dynamic mic and the one I have the ATR 2100x was way too quiet, maxing out the gain on my Scarlett raised the noise floor and made the recordings unusable. My mate came over with a Cloudlifter to troubleshoot the mic and turns out I needed a booster. I decided to give this one a try and it worked just as well, the build quality is solid and it's heavy for its size. I strongly recommend giving the Klark Teknik CT1 a try if you're picking up a dynamic mic.

The Klark Teknik MIC Booster CT 1 has been a fantastic addition to my audio setup. What I immediately found was how well it boosted the signal from my dynamic microphone. It worked so effectively that I actually had to turn the gain down on my audio interface, which was a pleasant surprise and quite a contrast to how I typically had to run things before. While the price is on the higher side for such a compact unit, the performance really justifies it. Beyond just the strong, clean signal, I also noticed a significant improvement in managing feedback. The clearer, hotter signal from the mic, thanks to the CT 1, really helped to reduce feedback issues I'd been experiencing. It's truly a simple, effective tool that's made a noticeable positive difference in my sound quality and overall control.

Bueno, bonito y barato.
