Great value fully enameled CST Iron Shallow Casserole Pan
I bought this product as seconds from Amazon Warehouse, the packaging was a little scruffy but no damage to either packaging or pan so very happy to receive a discounted product with no difference to a new one. Amazon basics range of products have become a trusted brand for me in ckitchenware, foods and cleaning products reprinting good value for money and starting to become more trend conscious as well. This pan is heavy as expected for cast iron and the enameling is good quality and reasonable thickness to provide a non stick coating without the need to season. There is a rim of non-enameled surface at the point where the lid meets the pan but this is to be expected to provide protection against splitting after rapid heat expansion - the rim will rust if not cleaned and dried effectively then lightly oiled after each use but is a feature I am willing to look after to avoid the lower thermal efficiency and often outright refusal for aluminum pans to work on induction hobs. Needless to say this pan has a wide contact with the hob and heats rapidly and evenly. If I were to have one small suggestion it would be to provide these products in more sizes and darker colours. White enamel is hard to keep white on the outside as well as the inside of a pan - there is only one other colour available - also very light so the pan may end up stained once used between hob and oven but at least it will show it’s been used and loved . Overall this pan is around half the price of salter and cooks professional versions and about a third of the price of Staub or Le Crueset and I’m sure from a cooking point of view the results won’t be noticeably different at my level of cookery.

Perfect!
Have been pondering getting a Creuset. However I'm not willing to re mortgage the house to get it. So, I've been doing research, reading comments, checking different products and suppliers. Decided that for 30 odd pounds it was worth give it a try, even when there's like half a dozen of bad reviews amongst thousands of good ones. And so far Amazon always sorted me out when things went sideways, so I thought, what the heck let's do it I'm happy I did. It looks so good, heavy like the ones my grandma used to have, no chips no nothing, perfect condition, well packaged, lid packaged well and secured with little grips to avoid breakages in transit. Now, this isn't a toy, and even thought you're not paying Creuset money doesn't mean you can toss it around the kitchen like an old wooden spoon. It's cast iron and it's enamelled. It's heavy and so a little bang can chip it just like the expensive ones, difference is you wouldn't mistreat those because it's been expensive would you? Well, it's the same thing. The expensive one will still break if you don't treat it well so be careful. Also, like all other enamel, don't cook it without liquid. Pro tip, if you did, and you burned something (these coock a lot quicker cause they get hotter) my mom uses bleach on hers and it removes those stains: she has repeated to me many hundred times, so I guess it's true. I quite. Like the design as well. It turns away from the attempt to be that big brand which I like. Cast iron pans have been around since forever, it's not that deep. Is just cast iron and enamel, get over it. I will still need to test the durability over time, but honestly is looking good. Good finish, does what it says on the tin. I'm so glad because I actually got 3 of these in different liters and colors. I definitely reccomend giving it a go.

A pleasing and efficient pan
Excellent. The enamel base does not scuff glass cooker hobs as cast iron can. It’s very good and low to middle heat and the enamel cleans up easily. I think high heat might over time damage the enamel as might removing burnt-on food, but it cooks evenly and efficiently at lower heats.

Weight
The weight of it. It is very heavy empty so when it's full moving it about is very difficult other than that it's great.

Great Value
Amazon Basics are such good value. Heavy with as it should be for cast iron-very even distribution of heat. With all the modern cooking methods, there is just nothing that can compare to the flexibility of a cast iron skillet. This 3.1 Litre is good and deep for casseroles. Excellent condition from Amazon Warehouse- the 'like new' description-completely accurate !

In love with my cast-iron casserole 🫶
Absolutely love this casserole! Great quality and easy to clean! It is heavy to use but that's expected from a cast-iron item! There is no sign and it seems like it will last longer, and the food tastes amazing.

Good Quality
Looks exactly like the picture and no differrnt to all the expensive brands. The weight is heavy but manageable. It's a big size. I enjoy cooking with it. Easy to clean.

This is a great buy. Does what it’s meant to do without costing a week’s rent!! It’s sturdy and weighty, distributes heat evenly and cleans so well. Amazon you did well!
