SIMPLE KNEADS Organic Pumpkinickel Bread, 21 OZ

I really like this bread. I think it needs to be toasted for the best flavor and texture (like most gluten free bread). It is not crumbly though and the flavor is great! I love that there is no rice flour in it. Because of the high arsenic/mercury in rice, I try to avoid products with rice so a gluten free bread without rice is an amazing option! I am going to try the other breads from this brand.

I let myself pay a ridiculous price for a single loaf of bread with the idea that I was going to experience an amazing sourdough bread, which is not typically possible having celiac. The picture makes the bread look like a normal sized loaf of bread, when it's actually just slightly bigger than a soup bowl. The texture is fine, but the taste is not sourdough and only passable as toast. This was a huge disappointment, and I'm bummed I wasted my money on this. Learn from my mistake and don't buy it.

it was good and tasty, but took a long time to arrive

I am pleasantly surprised by this bread. It has a true whole-grain bread texture and a good taste. It takes a little longer to toast than normal bread, but with my restricted diet, I am grateful this bread contains no unwanted ingredients or fillers, feels and acts like bread, and is very tasty. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged. I keep it in the freezer to retain its freshness. My only complaint is the price (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). I wish it had a subscribe and save option so I could save a little on future purchases, because I will be buying this bread again.

After all the delicious advertisements, so disappointing. Bread crumbles, too moist, thick, and chewy. Falls apart, however you try to get it out of the loaf.

I am a former professional baker and when I discovered my stomach issues were due to wheat, I was devastated. Needless to say, I've taken my search for a tasty gluten free bread very seriously over the past two years and, thus far, Simple Kneads is by far the best. NOTE: This bread is best when warmed up or toasted. If it is cold and made into a sandwich for eating at work for lunch, it gets kind of crumbly. That is the only downside in my opinion, but I would much rather have that be the issue than eat a bread filled with weirds gums that leave a strange aftertaste and texture in my mouth. This bread actually tastes like a fermented sourdough (because it is) which is a far superior flavor in my opinion than the bland gf breads on the shelves. If you are able to find this brand in your area, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Flavor was not good unfortunately, I had high hopes for it.

Sorry is nothing like the San Francisco Sour Dough Bread. Didn't even taste like sourdough.
