Vestal Unisex CAN3N01 Canteen Zulu Watch with Nylon Band

Gift for my nephew, made the executive decision to order the white numbering for visibility, he preferred the Vestal Canteen black on black which never made any sense to these tired, old, eyes,I was effective in steering him to illuminated numbering so the watch stays useful at night as well. (which this version does have) I eventually bought the orginal black on black metal band Vestal Canteen watch for him and it was not as bad as anticipated. Lesson learned. Lucky nephew.This watch version has a nylon band. I only use stainless steel, nylon, or rubber as in Casio's G-Shock line. Leather gets weird like a petri dish no matter the quality. ugh. The only thing this watch lacks for myself is the date function.

The watch did not work from the moment it arrived. It came with no warranty or paperwork and said we could download the manual but when we went online to do that it wasn't there. It did say online that if that the watch didn't work to contact the manufacturer instead of returning it so we did that, twice, and got no response and it has been a week since we sent the first email. This watch is going back. Very disappointing as my 15 year old son bought the watch with his own money.

I didn't know how large the face of the watch would be but I love it because I use it as a clock in the mornings when preparing for work. it's easy to see the time even when laying flat on my cabinet in the bathroom. Also I receive many compliments from my co-workers about the appearance of the of the watch. The bright blue canvas band stands out on my wrist especially when wearing a shot sleeve shirt which is most of the time in Southern California!

Very satisfied with this product. Looks a cheaper quality than I imagined from the pictures. Nonetheless, it's a nice watch that fits and looks great at my wrist. Using it for a week so far and it's keeping the time correctly.

Very patriotic and stylish watch design. Performs well. Don't over tighten the canteen cap as it may be difficult to unscrew it. Thank you.

I haven't worn a watch in years but as my cell phone got bigger and became a pain to pull out of my pocket, the idea of wearing a watch again was more and more appealing. After a fruitless search for my favorite Swiss Army watch I decided just to go to Amazon and find a suitable replacement. I decided upon the Vestal Canteen Zulu because I thought the canteen thing looked pretty cool and overall the watch seemed classy and understated. I also liked mineral crystal face and great waterproofing rating. (OK so I can't dive before sinking to 300 feet but I can live with that)When the watch came I was impressed. It's a little heavier than I thought it would be but as long as you don't wear the strap loose this isn't a problem. The zulu strap is very comfortable, never digs in and doesn't bleed dye all over my wrist like others I have owned. The weight of the watch is unoticable after a few minutes and the large face is extremely easy to read. The second hand dial is a little tough to follow with my 55 year old eyes but really, how often do I need that?.Altoghether the watch was a terrific buy, especialy considering it was half-price on Amazon.ca compared to other retailers. it looks and feels solid, keeps terrific time and I have no regrets about selecting this timepiece.The only negative I have about this purchase is that the watch arrived with a dead battery which was a little tough to replace since not every jeweler carries tools large enough to remove the oversized backplate but nevertheless, I found a place that had the tool and the battery was $15.I would buy Vestal watches again

Very nice watch for the price point. Looks exactly like the pictures posted by Amazon. It sits nicely balanced on the wrist. I initally thought it would be huge, but it's the right size for average wrists. It can be read very easily from accross the room. It has taken a beating in the past couple of weeks, doing yard work and horseplaying with my kids, and still no signs of wear. The band needs a good soapy wash every week or so.

I like the watch for the price but it was delivered with, what I am hoping, a dead battery. So, it doesn't work. Will have to get a battery put in it to see if it works.
