If I had only one piece of luggage, I’d choose this.
We travel a lot and I’ve used all the big names including Briggs & Riley and Tumi. Hynes Eagle is now my goto carry-on bag. Overnight or a week, it’s remarkably efficient and roomy. The bag is well-made and collapses to fit under bed or behind door during travels. Compression straps and integrated backpack are easy to use and work very well. We use compression travel cubes and they pack very nicely in this bag. Zippers are solid and have held up well.My wife bought a previous version to lug ski boots, jacket and helmet around. Perfect for that.I’m glad that it’s more understated than my other luggage. Less eye-catching is better in most parts of the world. And it’s hundreds of dollars less expensive.

Amazing Rolling Backpack
I created a Bug-out bag/backpack for emergencies. I wanted the backpack to be on rollers because these type of emergency bags can become heavy quite quickly due to the amount of emergency items required. Furthermore, if you need to carry animals or babies on your back the rollers are nice to have for that reason as well. After trying out three other backpacks - this one was, by far, the best. It has amazing features that the other packs did not have. The overall size was a little bigger than the other packs (but can still work as a carry on in planes), the wheels are small and internal (so less likely to break off), the pack breaks into two packs, there are many different ways to carry the pack because of so many handle options, the pack come with 3 separate bags to hold clothing and toiletries or whatever you want, the fabric is heavy duty, the zippers move easily and the pack has many compartments. So glad I found this bag and had the room I needed for the many items that are needed to create an emergency pack. Thank you!

Surpassed expectations
I just got back from my first trip with this zip-on backpack wheelie bag combination, and was pretty impressed with it. I was on a ski trip and I had a lot of gear to schlep, so was initially concerned that this combo would be too heavy for me, but it was actually fairly light and quite comfortable. The backpack zipped on and off very quickly and easily, the wheeled portion was very commodious (room enough for my computer, ski boots, helmet, gloves, goggles, and ski pants to carry on the plane), and the backpack took a lot of beating from shoving it into cubbies at ski lodges and rolling around in the back of the car with all our gear. The wheels rolled nicely and the loaded-down combo was very easy to pull along, almost as if something wasn't there. I've had a combination similar to this in the past, at more than twice the price, but it didn't perform as well as this combination did. My only complaint was the zipper pulls tended to get stuck in an awkward position on occasion, but that didn't interfere with using it. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

Good Value...in a soft roller bag
With the high cost of roller bags this is a great option. I picked it up just prior to a 14-day trip to Germany. I used both the detachable day pack and the rollerbag. The wheels are sturdy and the double bar handle was solid. Overall I think the system as well designed with good functionality.I think the day pack could be a little better designed as far as allowing it to zip open a bit more. The compression straps on the side of the daypack are not really needed and almost a little large for the bag design. The zipper tabs are a little sticky but I think with some wax they should be a little smoother. The stitching is solid and I predict that this bag will last me several years. For those of you looking for an inexpensive roller bag as well as a personal bag this is definitely a handy system and I would recommend it.

Great Duo! It’s awesome!
This duo is perfect. Lots of room for one weeks worth of clothes in the big bag and the zip on/off backpack can fit my CPAP machine in its bag easily with room left over. I may order another for my wife, I keep catching her watching as I put the two together and walk on down the road.

Immediate & initial review
Product arrived and immediately used on my trip. There are pros to it, but I will let you decide that. I will post what I do not like about the bag as I am waiting for my flight upon initial use...and my frustrations are fresh and current.CONS in no frustrational order:Zipper that connects the 2 bags together does not zip all the way around the bottom. Therefore the the straps of the small pack need to somehow be secured in via imagination. The two bands/straps that secure the small pack to the telescopic handle do not allow for easy feeding/unfeeding of pack. The large back is not level. It will fall regardless of how you pack both bags. You will always need to lean the bag(s) on a wall. The sinch straps do not add security to the secondary/small bag while connected. The large bags largest pocket does not open all the way.Small bag does not have a top/quick access pocket.Large bag does not have a top/quick access pocket.External charging port is awkwardly positioned. What is the point of the headphone jack? Is the walkman in the bag? If so, I have to open the bag and press play anyway.Internal mesh pockets are decently sized, but compartmentalized mesh pockets are more practical. All the zippers constantly twisting. Need to rubix cube it to set it straight before you can use the zipper.First Trip/Use Pros:Quality, jury is still out reviewing the cons.Functionality...waiting for jury to adjourn from quality.Price, too expensive for those cons to be listedLooks, 5 stars, very deceiving.Three small included sectional bags, 5 stars.Second pocket on big bag, 5 stars.
