I'm very happy with these tiny dead cats/kittens. This is a great solution for my DSLR internal stereo microphones. They are terribly susceptible to wind noise and this helps tremendously. To be honest, I rarely use the audio from my DSLR, other than to use it to sync to other cameras and audio, but I also consider the audio as a backup to whatever other microphones I might be using. But if the audio is ruined due to wind, it certainly isn't a backup anymore, and syncing the audio to other sources becomes more difficult. This little product solves the problem. I see folks mentioning that the adhesive is weak, but I'm wondering if they are applying the fur to the adhesive properly. If you look closely, and you can see it clearly in my pictures, there is a specific area in which you are supposed to use against the adhesive sticker, which is kind of a woven area separate from the furry area. Make sure you have good light, because it's kind of hard to see. I paid attention to that and mine are sticking great. Also, make sure the sticker itself isn't blocking the microphone hole in your camera, as it should be big enough to fit around it, as you can see in my pictures. I'm also going to try these on other items, like the new GoPro 11 Mini I'll be receiving soon. It should help with my phone mic, too. The actual product isn't nearly as "groomed" looking as the product pictures, but I suppose with a tiny pair of scissors... UPDATE: The smaller size worked great, but I need a larger size for my Nikon D800, so I also got the larger size of this product. It didn't fit the D800 as well as I'd hoped (see my pictures), but it does indeed work. I posted pictures of both sizes to help you decide which one is better suited to your needs. I also just got a GoPro 11 Mini and was able to secure the smaller size to the camera and it helps a bunch.

basically the mini fur stickers are greatness and make a huge difference to audio quality in windy locations. Sadly the separate stickers are very thing and have too large of a center cutout, basically they don't hold the fur well.. Instead use grey 3M industrial double sided tape, cut a diamond shape, then fold it over and cut a roundly 1/16th hole in the center, stick the tape correctly so the camera mic hole is centered in the hole you cut.. peel the remaining backing and stick the fur on top.. this will stay way better.

No these are not permanent, but they stick long enough to work very well. Put 2 of the muffs on my GoPro Hero8 and used on a long day of rock climbing. First, they do a very good job of cutting wind noise. Second, they stuck on all day, even though I put the camera in and out of the case over 50 times. For the price, these can't be beat! UPDATE- Used on a second adventure trip. Had to replace both muffs and stickers prior to the trip. One muff started to come lose during the hike, b/c I accidently pulled on it. To me this is not a deal breaker. The kit comes with plenty of muffs and stickers, so carrying an extra set is a no brainer.

Works as intended. Adhesive strips are a little large for my application. Also, adhesive didn't stick well once my camera was in the wind. Could be better if this set included adhesive strips of different sizes for different applications.

Remarkably effective. Makes the internal mics on my Canon R6 Mii useful when I don't have an external mic on hand.

I tried to use this for the FreedCon R1 motorcycle helmet camera since that bluetooth camera has, for unknown reason and not a smart design (in my opinion), an external microphone. This windscreen/deadcat didn't work at all--well, it reduced the wind noise some--but not enough lessen the wind noise to a tolerable level. Maybe this would work if it was a static camera and or something moving less than 2-3 mph, but anything higher than that, then it's practically useless.

Truly a disappointment. I purchased this for my canon G7 X Mark two as a windscreen. The concept is good however the sticky adhesive does not work against the fabric. Every time you put it on the camera it looks good but after a day or two the fabric just simply pops off the sticky adhesive. I have tried it multiple times with different adhesion stickers and fabric but it refuses to stick. Very disappointed

I take videos of the trains in all kinds of weather conditions and this product is fantastic at keeping the winds at bay! Highly recommend~!

Contrairement a d'autres avis je trouve ce modèle de pare vent très efficace , mais pour que cela soit le cas il ne faut évidemment pas oublier de mettre la fonction anti bruit électronique sur OFF , sinon le son sera complètement distordu , donc je peux vous recommander cet article qui à résolu très efficacement mes problèmes de prise de son en extérieur . 👍🏼

Hab sie über das Mikrofon einiger autonomer Rekorder geklebt und muss sagen, es bringt schon ordentlich was und die Dämpfung ist wirklich vernachlässigbar (im nicht hörbaren Bereich). Siehe Sonagramm Bilder: Oben mit Windschutz, Unten ohne Windschutz. Der Ausschlag im unteren Frequenzbereich ist Wind, welcher auf der unteren Aufnahme deutlich zu hören ist, oben jedoch kaum auffällt.
