Viva Sol Premium Resin Bocce Ball Set with Wooden Case for Outdoor Play with Two to Eight Players

My family goes to the beach every year, and I have so many fond memories of playing bocce ball. This set is fantastic. The case is sturdy and the rope handles make it easy to carry. The bocce balls are a great weight, and we found they worked really well on the beach. They were a lot more fun to play with than the grooved, plastic set we used last year. Everyone loved the color of the balls, they looked beautiful on the beach and I think it's nice to have some that look a little different.The paint did scratch when they hit the sand when people lobbed the balls, but I'm not sure that is avoidable, and doesn't really matter. I'm not sure what the bottle opener is about, but it's oriented so you can only use it if were on a table or someone were holding it flat for you, which seems like bad planning, but I certainly didn't buy it for the bottle opener.

Our neighbors invited us over to play bocce with them a few weeks ago and we had such a blast playing, we came home and I immediately started looking for a set! I chose this set because the colors were more "fun" than the standard primary red, blue, yellow, etc. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the box broke almost immediately, but the balls themselves are great and we just keep them in a wire basket on the back porch, so problem solved. I do recommend this set even though the box broke - and it was a shame because it's a nicely made wooden box, but the hinges are flimsy - because the ball are really nice and great colors!

We bought the entire line of Viva Sol games for our backyard, casual wedding in the LA area. My wife wanted to have some games out during the cocktail hour/reception, but wanted something that looked nice and coordinated, hence Viva Sol.When I found these games, I thought the quality looked good and the colors were fantastic, perfect for our casual, yet upscale event.This bocce set was one of my wife’s favorites because of the fun colors of the balls. The carrying case is also super nice with a great wood material and a bottle opened built into the side. Our guests were using it all night to open up their beers.With how nice this set is, I’m sure we will be playing bocce for years to come.

... not so much the box. Heavy balls, need a heavier duty box. Managed to put it back together, but take some care with the box or you'll be needing a sack to carry these great balls.

These balls are really pretty but the first game one had two large chunks fall off. I have contacted the manufacturer bu three weeks have passed and all I have is a claim number. I have tried again to contact with no response. These balls are quite expensive to have no warranty for a defect. Also odd that there is no measurement device not even a simple string.

The balls are big, heavy and very well-made. The heaviness was a bit unexpected for me but I got used to it. The colors are lovely and easy to tell.The downside is the wooden case. Even though the rope is heavy duty the two latches don't seem to be reliable. When I unpacked the packaging both latches were off the place and even one screw was missing. On the photos one can clearly see it looks like somebody already tried to fix the problem since the screw holes are bigger and don't look factory-like. And it happens with a product marked as New condition!I am going to screw the latches myself (after buying 1 more screw) but in general these latches don't look like they can reliably handle the heavy-weightiness of the case and the balls (about 11 kilograms or 25 pounds).

This is a beautiful bocce ball set and the case is almost perfect. I agree that the latches are a bit feeble looking for the weight of the set. So I found these latches on Amazon:Uxcell a15123000ux0413 Toggle Latch Furniture Suitcase Box Drawer LOCK Chest Toggle Latch Hasp 5Pcs.They mounted easily and look great and there is now no danger of the box opening accidentally. The hardwood accepted the new screws with no cracking (I drilled pilot holes before attaching screws). And these latches also covered the original screw holes!Enjoy

The Bocce Balls are wonderful! They have a great feel and are great quality!However, the case's clasps quickly broke (the thin nails holding the latches on came out); the fix was to install another latch of our own, given the nails not want to stay in their former hole.The clasps should be reinforced if you plan on utilizing the box for transport in any way, to avoid balls on the toes ><Great set! thank you!

Just recieved these today and they are already all marked up and the surface of balls have little divets. Seems they were used, returned and then sold again. Case is missing some of the foam pieces to hold balls tight in case. Disappointed because I wanted a good set of Bocce Balls and didn't want to cheap out. Got this set after high reviews and then recieved a used set. If they were new I really would recommend because they seem to be made good and they feel great. I feel ripped off with this used set though.

I bought this for a birthday gift for my husband who had asked for a higher end bocce ball set. Looked lovely online however, when he opened the box, it appeared it had been used and the latches were broken off. The balls appeared dented and used. We were very disappointed and returned the product.

Great bocce set but 1 of the 6 sets I purchased came with broken latches on the box. I returned these and the replacement was very damaged as well. As I said, nice set but multiple returns was very inconvenient.
