Kingston Q500 480GB SATA3 2.5 SSD (SQ500S37/480G)

My laptop has i3 7th Gen, 4GB Ram and 1TB hard disk, it was so bad at performance that I have to wait for a while after every click. It was totally impossible to use the laptop and was very frustrating.I decided to through away my laptop but at the end I thought to give this a try.I replaced the hard disk with the Kingston SSD. Kingston is a good brand. And I added Kingston ram. Then I reinstalled the windows10 and it logged in with same microsoft account which I used earlier in this laptop. Windows got activated with no problems.I m so surprised to see my old laptop running faster like a brand new laptop. Things open up in just a click. I am really happy to take a good decision. Otherwise Laptop was just an inch away from dustbin.Below are the things that no one will tell you.1. Before you begin, download Windows10 and make it bootable in a usb from official microsoft website. (This can be done from any pc)2. Open laptop back cover and replace hardware.3. Windows product key is in BIOS and it is automatically picked otherwise you can get your product key from BIOS by using command-prompt. Google commands.4. Install a fresh windows.All done.

I purchased 480gb model for Rs. 4700 apprx. After using it I will say it is a must to use product due to the fact that Laptop HDDs are already very slow as compared to standard PC HDDs (5400rpm vs 7200rpm respectively). After installing it in the system you'll feel that your laptop has become a little bit lighter (not much just a tiny bit) apart from that the images are attached, as you can see the difference is just phenomenonal. The boot time went down from 41secs to 18secs while when you press the shutdown button it closes the system in 6secs. I use a 2015 model HP pavilion Laptop so keep in mind rest of the factor also affect the speed of the system but this component changes your entire working experience. Just make sure you install OS on the SSD.Final verdict - You should invest in a good SSD because they last for many years moreover whenever you feel like changing your laptop/system you can always keep it with you and install it in a different laptop/system.

Alright so I needed a SSD to make my Computer fast in terms of booting up and other storage purposes.I wanted the storage to be a little big so I chose the 480 GB variant and I got it for Rs. 3,999.So i would like to breakdown this review into Pros and Cons, but before that i would just say that this is the best SSD you could actually get for this price.Pros :1. It will make your PC faster in the terms of booting up (Every SSD does this but as this was my first buying experience for the SSD, I think it was a good deal)2. Data Transfer Speed is great3. Heavy softwares will load fast on your PC4. Extremely light weightCons :1. This con might not be a problem for everyone, but while installing it I needed two screws so as to fit in the SSD Case in my Circle Gaming Cabinet . In the packaging there were no screws provided to fit it up in the SSD Case, so I had to put the screw which was used in my previous HDD.I am not sure that do other companies provide screws in the SSD package but if they do then Kingston should do the same.At last I would just say that this is the best SSD you could actually get in Rs.3,999 .I hope this review helps you while buying this SSD.Thank you :)Have a nice day!

My laptop originally came with an old 500gb standard hard-drive. Everything was sluggish. You've probably heard this story before. Then I switched to SSD and it was like brand-new again! I originally had a 128gb SSD in it. I always felt a bit suffocated. So, I jumped for this 500gb and now I have the breathing room for my software that I was looking for with a little extra for anything else that might come my way.I have nothing negative to say here. It's helped me get a few more years out of an aging laptop.
