I really liked this book! Very insightful

All this info in this book can be found in Deepak's other books already. Nothing new. I would not buy it again.

Self Power, Spiritual solutions to life's greatest challenges.It is interesting that Deepak Chopra starts with a personal note that states over his last 40 years people have searched for answers and the letters and questions that people have sent him inspired him to write this book on Self Power.I found the book divided into 3 parts, the first part is where Deepak describes the emotions of awareness and how there are 3 levels to this, contracted awareness, expanded awareness and pure awareness. This concept is logical, spiritual and has higher levels of consciousness relationship to self power. Daily practices and solutions are provided which I found useful and would be applicable to most people.The 2nd part of the book has letters and real life issues that people have written to Deepak about and his response to them. There were some good replies for solutions, however many letters were either missing critical information and too generalised so Deepak has made assumptions that would influence the true resolution of the issue at hand, opens up too many pathways of how to progress. Some letters were describing serious problems that people are facing, so I think that they would require much more in depth counselling and social assistance to resolve. This section of the book was difficult to relate to and enjoy as there were many serious personal issues addressed which was not inspiring for the reader, unless you have a similar situation to relate to.The 3rd part was the most enjoyable as it was solution based and more in line with a spiritual journey. It describes how consciousness is linked to the spiritual solution and how we can awaken our deep consciousness through some easy daily practices. It tied back the first part of the book (awareness ) as Deepak describes how consciousness, seven levels of illusions , finding our true self are interwoven within our inner self, solutions unfold naturally when we are connected to the true self existing at the soul level. Once we have this connection, then we can trust our intuition, imagination and heart to guide us through our journey in life and have self power. The book overall was easy to read and you will take from it what you need learn based on your spiritual journey and progression in life so far.
