Swagtron Swagboard Pro T1 UL 2272 Certified Hoverboard Electric Self-Balancing Scooter

I very rarely write reviews for products but with so many one star reviews on this item — Which almost made me not buy it — I felt compelled to give my opinion. To help shift the balance a bit. Some of the one-story views I swear I believe or from arrival company house it just isn't like experience with this product. This hoverboard was bought for my 75 pound 10-year-old niece and she absolutely loves it. It arrived fully charged up and ready to ride straight out of the box. Immediately she was on it and rolling over top of my hardwood floor and then onto the carpet — where it performed spectacularly — continuously. Once she got the hang of it she was riding it from room to room without breaking stride. Indeed, she would cross thresholds in the doorways like they were a minor speed bump. We went outside to ride after she rode it for a bit inside the house and again it exceeded my expectations. Those expectations being that I was scared that I purchased a piece of junk after so many negative reviews, I live in a suburb where most of the road is flat but there is a pretty significant hill at the top of the road and the hoverboard went over it like a Land Rover! The board goes about 8.5 mph which is pretty fast for a kid. All things considered, for $349 this was an outstanding purchase given that it enabled me time to play with my niece and watch her smile! I mean, never got off of it for more than a couple hours of time that it takes to charge during the 48 hours that she was at our house visiting. Speaking of charge, it's also noteworthy to say that a full charge seemed to provide about 90 minutes right time before it died completely.I'll try and keep giving updates as to how it is holding up and if anyone has any questions ask me and I'll try to help to the best of my ability. However, if you are looking for a reasonably priced hoverboard that will do what it says and not burn your house down, this is a pretty awesome buy!

At first it worked great. But after a few days my 9 year old daughter noticed it was starting to vibrate at certain speeds. Gradually it got worse and worse, to the point you couldn't ride it any more. Called tech support and recalibrated it but no change. Sent the unit back for a complete exchange directly from Swagtron. Promised to get a new unit in return, but got a refurbished one instead. Sent the 2nd unit back and eventually got a brand new unit directly from Swagtron. Right out the box.... The 3rd unit shook just like the first. Recalibrated it again..but still same issue. At my whits end with this product and company. I suggest you don't go with this product or company.

got this for our 8 year old for Christmas- and the whole family loves it! even us parents have been playing around on this. We have races, design a course and then see who does it that fastest- We all have said it really feels like our brain and the swagratron suddenly sync and perform in unison. Of course we've had some crashes and a few of us have been tossed off- but that's user error- this machine is super responsive! i mean you should see us twirl!...- and it does go fast- Really fast!- my 25 year old wrecked on it and it slammed into the curb and cement mail box and it did crack both fenders.... is this disappointing? heck yes! but i can't imagine any of my toys, motorcycles and jeeps included not getting a crack if they had slammed just as hard into the cement as this did. so.,, IF the silicone covers fit better and stayed on then maybe the cracks could have been avoided- and that is why i only give it a 4 star instead of 5- and i'll update my review if anything changes-

This was the first hoverboard (or self-balancing scooter) that I ever tried. It was very difficult to learn but once you start balancing yourself on it, it is easy to ride. The problem with this hoverboard is that even though it is supposed to be “self-balancing”, it does not really self-balance at all. When turned on, it stays in the same tilted position. It should at least try to self-balance before getting the label of “self-balancing” scooter in its name.After learning to ride it, I started seeing other issues, particularly the vibration. When a child rides it, it vibrates and I have figured out that this is likely related to the weight of the person riding - like a child who weighs much less than an adult. The vibration issue mostly surfaced when a child was riding it. The vibration was very violent making it unstable to ride.I ordered another T1 because my other kid also needed a hoverboard and I was also hoping that, with a new hoverboard, if the vibration issue was a defect with the one I received, I would be able to confirm it. The second T1 I received had a different issue: it continuously made three quick beeps when riding it, like it was trying to warn of an error or malfunction. But the status indicator light was always green and never changed color. The beeps continued even though it rode perfectly normally. The beeps were very loud so they become annoying very quickly. I was baffled and spent a week trying different things to get rid of the annoying beeping. I tried calibrating it multiple times with a bubble level tool. I tried keeping the power-on switch pressed for several seconds in an attempt to reset it somehow. I left it to charge fully overnight.When I could not find a fix for these issues, i.e. one of the T1 vibrating and the other beeping, I ended up looking for a different brand/model. I ended up returning both T1s and instead got the new  Swagtron Swagboard Twist  that is designed for kids but has the exact same design and very similar specs. It does 7 mph vs T1’s 8 mph speed - not a significant difference. The key difference between the two is that it has a different battery that does not charge as fast. But other than that Twist rides much better. I am glad I returned the T1 while I was still within the return period and got the Twist model for my kids.In summary, T1 is an old model of a hoverboard. There are other brands and models that significantly improve hoverboards. If you are buying it for kids, opt for a model that actually does some “self-balancing”. The T1 does not.

The first one I received.... straight out of the box it did not work. Followed all the manufacturer's recommendations on how to resolve the issue. Had a second one sent, received the second one yesterday 3/22/18. This one also doesn't work and even has something loose rattling around inside. Not sure if this failure is from the carrier or the product. Either way, not happy and not confident this is a well made product even if the carrier is to blame.

Excellent hoverboard!!! I really did my research before purchasing this and it kept bringing me back to Swagtron. It has a safety profile no other Hoverboard can offer right now. It was easy for my daughter to learn how to ride it (has a learning option) and the charging tome needed is low and lasts a long time. The only complaint I have and this would be likely to be the same for any Hoverboard, is that while the manual says it can be used by kids 44lbs (or something like that), the optimal weight for anrider is 80lbs+. If they are less than that (which my daughter is....she's 10 but small), they will likely experience some vibration. My daughter has learned how to offset this by the positioningnof her feet but just thought people should know that. All things considered, we are very happy with this purchase and Amazon offered it at over $100 less than anywhere else!!

Buen producto, batería muy durable aunque es muy pesada para los niños, su núcleo es fierro fundido y la puede hacer débil, pero de seguro si se van a divertir.

Had 2 replacements, this one broke in less than a week, was using it peacefully until it just gave up and started flashing a twice a red light which indicates a motherboard issue. (not the battery light). Stay away from this brand.

Received on time as promised. Quality is excellent and we really like it very much. Of course we will recommend it to our friends
