Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable with Electronic Speed Change and built-in Phono Preamp (White)

My first turntable and I love it. I wanted a great turntable that wasn't too expensive or too cheap as with a lot of things You get what you pay for... although not always. I'm very happy to report this record player is great for first record player and also as a long time record player as you can you can up grade the cartridge but only to Ortofon cartridge's.Im thinking of upgrading to Ortofon 3m blue later. Great sound, Great looks, great valve if you're serious about sound get a turntable like this

I brought this as my first vinyl player, after doing months of research, I bit the bullet and brought it. I’ve honestly never looked back. Out of the box, it’s super easy to set up, it looks sleek, and feels well made, sturdy and durable. It comes with a blasted glass platter which I prefer to the acrylic. The tone arm is feather light, and it’s just effortless to use, and this also comes with the Ortofon OM 5E cartridge, I’ve paired the T1 to a pair of kanto yu4 speakers, and it sounds great. It’s a bit of shame that this model doesn’t have the auto stop function, but for me personally I didn’t think that it really matters.

A little different to my old Technics turntable as that was automatic. After a couple of false starts I can now put the needle to the record. Using the slow damper that lowers the arm is a problem and I have learnt not to use it as it either lowers the arm to miss the record or miss the beginning of the first track. Other than this it is a fine bit of equipment.

Good.. -It sounds good for the price, with a dependable tried and tested cartridge that's easily replaced. -Setup is easy, although mine still needed a little tweak of the weight to sit just right. - the glass platter is undeniably cooler than other lower priced items. - the supplied interconnects are good quality - changing speed is easy! - the built in phono is convenient and to my concert damaged ears it sounds pleasant, warm and easy going. The less good - It does look and feel a little flimsy. I had a Denon Dp400 prior to this, which was a little more expensive but was far more substantial and finished with higher quality materials, but it was a dust magnet. -with that, it's very light weight and glides around my stand when I turn it on and off! - Feet don't level - No anti skate is pretty weird and I don't know how well this would handle alternative cartridges as a result. In summary, the sound quality is good, it's easy to setup and use and the phono is good to have for most people. It's not the last word in material quality and feels light. If your budget can go a few hundred quid higher you're in much fancier territory, but this model is a big step up from the old Pro-Ject debut model I started with years ago and way better than the sub hundred quid rubbish. Recommended, but don't expect miracles.

Great turntable, easy to set up. Looks beautiful. Came with a faulty power cable which wasn't the best start, but I was sent a replacement swiftly and all is well.

Brought it for my hubby at Xmanjs he loves it

The turntable was scratched and had lots of marks on it, the internal packaging had been opened previously so it wasn’t brand new as described. Very disappointed and I returned it

This is a good turntable that performs well. The quality control from Pro-Ject was dire, however. The box arrived sealed and undamaged. The turntable casing, when I unpacked it, had grubby marks and small indentations some of which broke the surface. Everything was sealed so this must have happened at the factory. I went for this turntable because it came pre-adjusted. As soon as I picked up the balance from the box, the weight moved. It had not been tightened adequately in the factory. This meant I had to do the tone arm settings which was what I had wanted to avoid. When you get past all this, the turntable performs well, but I will think very carefully about buying another Pro-Ject product given these problems.

Schon krass was Pro Ject da mit dem T1 wieder auf die Beine gestellt hat! Ich habe mal eine Liste gemacht. Pro: Top Verarbeitung für das Geld Sehr gute Bedienbarkeit Platten Teller aus Akustik Glas (absolut ausgewuchtet 100% keine Unwucht) Hochwertige Kabel werden mitgeliefert Staubschutzhaube bleibt in jeder Position stehen und fällt nicht runter Öl gedämpfter Lift Keine Laufgeräusche des Motors Sehr unempfindlich gegen Trittschall Oder Rückkoppelung Voreingestellter Tonarm Sichere Verpackung Kontra: Anti Scating voreingestellt (im grunde kein großer Nachteil) Die Ortofon OM 5e Nadel ist natürlich als Unterste Basis zu verstehen. Wenig Höhen alles halt etwas glatt gebügelt. Diese kann aber ganz einfach gegen eine OM 10-40 ausgetauscht werden.

J'ai acheté cette très belle platine pourpouvoir enfin réécouter ma collection de vieux disques vinyles. Quels plaisir! La platine est celle qui est reccomandée par Sonos. Sonos est le système de son que j'ai acheté pour aller avec mon téléviseur et mon lecteur DVD. Le résultat est formidable. Mais attention, la platine nécessite l'achat d'une enceinte spécifique, la Sonos five pour fonctionner parfaitement. J'en suis très satisfait
