The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor can detect distances between 2 to 450 cm with a maximum resolution of 3 mm. The values are emitted measured as PWM signal. These signals can prepare microcontrollers such as Arduinos or Raspberry Pi and convert to any value such as meters. A measuring range has a duration of 20ms. The sensor can then perform up to 50 measurements per second.
