OXO Good Grips Plastic Utility Cutting Board

A really nice cutting board. The micro textured surface is perfect to keep things in place while cutting, not hard and slippery. The little 1/16" tall feet on all four corners provide just enough elevated grip, but do not get in the way when cleaning. Real nice clean design that goes well with my black and silver kitchen design. If you ever get to the point that you see too many deep knife cuts that might make it hard to clean, just get a palm sander and some 80 grit sandpaper and you can give your cutting board a new surface. Give it a try, you will love it!

This thing is solid. Good for a two person household, more than enough for one person. I would not buy this if you are in need of a carving board as the juice channel is too small. I think it would leak if you are cutting a very juicy steak or who chicken. Makes for a great secondary board to prep raw meats though! It has enough room to comfortably butterfly and then pound two chicken breasts. The Channel for liquid is small but I am not using this as a carving board as I have a Boos Block as my main board. I keep my main board on bamboo risers and this is thin/light enough to fit underneath and to get out with no issues. I flip it over and use the back to cut veggies. It is very stable when cutting on either side. This cleans very well. Fits very easy into my modestly sized sink. It also fits my older dish washer as well, which is the main reason I went for this size. To make it easier to do a deep sanitizing clean every now and then. I do sometimes wish I had just a bit more room, but the next size up would be too big for my dish washer and since I am using this mostly for cutting raw meat, It was more important to me that it fit in the dish washer.

This cutting board was a best-value choice by America's Test Kitchen. Let me also recommend their cookbooks and their television shows (America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country) on PBS. The board is white so that one can easily see when it is not clean but is resistant to food stains. While it is hard to scratch, it is soft enough that it does not dull the edges on my chef's knives. That is a problem with the occasional glass or stone cutting boards. As with any board, including wood, do avoid grinding at it when cutting with a serrated knife. Grooves from that always retain stains after use but a dishwasher clears most of that. The board has two sides. One is smooth while the other has a depressed gutter around the edge to ca[ture drippings when cutting meat. Most cutting boards slide on the counter when I cut tough foods and I usually need to put a dish cloth under them to prevent slippage. The OXO has a silicone strip wrapping around the short edges to provide grip and I no longer need the cloth. One rating above asks about thickness. The OXO is just under 1/4" thick which is more than enough to support a heavy roast or turkey. I leave it to others to say whether that is thick or thin. The OXO is fairly light and I see no reason to recommend anything thicker/heavier. The OXO is also large enough for any task in my kitchen but I do not use it for everything. I do not have a lot of counter space and the OXO is about as large as I can easily clear out. I am hoping for and would buy any smaller version, say 60% scale, for breakfast/lunch/snacks.

I thought our glass cutting board was perfect until I noticed how hard it was on our knife edges. This OXO plastic board is better because: * It is soft so it won't dull my knives * It's unbreakable * It's lightweight * It is available with several trim colors so I can have a separate one for meats. This OXO plastic board is not as good as my old glass board because: * It gets scratched up quite easily (as do all plastic boards) * Because of scratches it's a bit harder to keep clean * It's not totally dishwasher safe. Some users report warping due to heat. Conclusion: I like the plastic boards and will continue to use them because I hate dull knives.

This cutting board is exactly the kind of piece that showcases OXO at their very best — understated in looks but flawless in daily use. The first thing that stood out was how substantial it feels in hand. It doesn’t flex or slide around, whether on the counter or stored in an organizer rack, and the surface is surprisingly resistant to scratching. A quick soap and rinse, and it’s back to looking new (I only handwash). The design is pure utility — clean lines, neutral color, and nothing flashy — which is exactly what makes it fit so well into a minimalist kitchen setup or paired seamlessly with higher-end kitchen gear. 今までで一番のまな板。これ以上のまな板に出会ったことがない！ 欠点は、包丁で食材を切り、刃がまな板に当った時の感触が硬い。切り心地は良くない。 でも、そんな欠点を十分にカバーできるくらい素晴らしい。 滑り止めがあって、まな板がズレない。軽くて、洗うのが楽。端部が、斜めにスライドしていて、取り回しが楽（これが最高）。両面使える。次もリピートするつもりです。

These are great! I ordered the 10" x 14" to start and have now replaced my other cutting boards with the various sizes of these. They're thin but a good weight, have rubber non-slip edge a small channel around the edges to catch messy drips, and are stain resistant and dishwasher-safe. Love them!

Lo positivo: Visualmente es muy bonita y supera mis expectativas. Aunque es un poco más dura de lo que esperaba, no creo que deteriore mis cuchillos. Las gomas antideslizantes son un detalle muy práctico, y la tabla se nota resistente y de larga duración. Lo negativo: El precio podría ser un poco más accesible, pero fuera de eso, no tengo ninguna queja.

J'utilise cette planche, au quotidien, depuis bien longtemps. Sa taille, sa matière facile à nettoyer (main et lave-vaisselle) et sa praticité (planche réversible) en font un objet devenu incontournable dans ma cuisine! Je ne peux que conseiller....
