vela.yue brand offers hands down some of the best makeup brushes anywhere, regardless of price. Folks, this is the unicorn of makeup brushes -super-high quality even for professional level use, yet offered at drugstore prices. I've washed these brushes and used them for several months, they've proven to pick up and apply product absolutely beautifully. Build quality is very solid, no loose hairs even while washing. Measurements given are accurate, so pay attention to those if It matters to you. After I bought one brush, I went and bought almost all of their other synthetic hair brushes, and multiples of many of them - even if I didn't have an immediate use for some, they are THAT good. This is from someone who LOVES and appreciates high quality tools. FYI, often 3-5 vela.yue brushes would = the cost of ONE of my (crappy) MAC brushes. I was NOT compensated in any way for these reviews, I used my own hard-earned $ to buy these brushes. The rest of this review will be about the individual brush(es) I purchased so you have an idea of individual brush performance. FYI, I now only use mineral powder makeup products (and fairly lightly on most days - but professional level application), and only use synthetic hair makeup brushes so my reviews will be pertinent to these details.The Foundation Brush Large Press Full Brush applies my Alima Pure mineral powder makeup extremely smoothly, and indeed it's full coverage - very very soft brush hairs, very very dense. Highly recommended for FULL COVERAGE.I use the Bronzer brush to apply blush - has the perfect soft give to the hairs to LIGHTLY apply blush, but I use a smaller duo-bristle brush to be more accurate for bronzer application.I found the Powder Super Large Brush to indeed be very large - actually quite dense also. Too large and dense for my personal face makeup application, but would be amazing for any body applications. I use a different vela.yue brush to apply my finishing powders (see my other reviews for details).Again, cannot stress how much I LOVE these brushes!! Wish everything was made at this high level of quality and pricepoint!!* tip: some brush prices are better on eBay.

I'm shocked at what a great Lil brush this is. My experience in the past w/ amazon brush purchases has been hit or miss w/ names I don't know. I haven't used this for powder foundation yet, but for liquid or cream it works amazingly for full coverage. I usually use a tapping motion as opposed 2 buffing, which gives me the fullest coverage. I do buff edges & make sure there are no streaks & this brush does both method well. I have only washed it once but there was no shedding while washing or on my face & for how dense the brush is, it dried quite quickly. The ferrul & handle both seem sturdy & have a good weight 2 them. I'm a licensed esthetician in FL & occasionally do makeup as well; I would, def add this brush to my kit to use w/ clients. It's extremely soft, prob 1 of the softest brushes I own, & I own hundreds. I'm interested in looking at other brushes made by the same brand. I only saw 1 other on this listing but perhaps there are more to 2 the line. If they perform as well I'd buy all of them. I think $10 in today's market is completely reasonable for a good foundation kabuki brush. Even drugstore lines like real techniques & eco tools have single brushes creeping into that range, & if you're looking 2 invest in good brushes by sigma, it cosmetics, mufe, etc., you are absolutely going 2 be paying $15-25+ a brush. If u wear liquid foundation often & like the beauty blender or another sponge but don't like that it's hard 2 get full coverage w/ a sponge, try this. It's soft enough & dense enough to apply like a sponge but won't absorb your product.

I'm so impressed with this brush! The bristles are so dense and soft that it really is like a brush/sponge hybrid. The bristles are even and secure. This is top quality for a great price. I have found that it's better to dot liquid foundation on your face instead of picking it up with the brush, because it absorbs a lot less that way.

I bought the LARGE ROUND BRUSH, thinking it would be good for foundation but it is terrible. The bristles are packed in much too tightly and they are much too short to do anything right for foundation. It just smears the foundation on- there is no ability to feather the foundation or control the amount you want to apply in various areas. At least a sponge at least gives the option of dabbing, which soaks up some foundation or pushing which releases some foundation. I have a different foundation brush from MAC that is more feathery and it works much better. It tends to soak up a lot of expensive foundation, though, which is why I was looking for another brush. With this brush, I feel as if I am just smearing the foundation around my face until it dries. I would not recommend.

My new favourite brush, lovely coverage all over and very soft.Make sure you clean it often as it will get rock hard with product build up. I usually wash mine with baby shampoo and let air dry.

Lovely, soft synthetic brush. I’ve been using this daily since purchasing and have yet to notice any bristles coming out. I suspect this brush would also be good for liquid foundation, contouring and blush!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my mom and she loves it.It is used everyday and applies the liquid foundation perfectly.

Dopo una costellazione di pennelli comprati, provati e lasciati a prender polvere e perdere peli alla velocità delle foglie che cadono dagli alberi in autunno, finalmente ho trovato lui! Ero un po' perplessa riguardo alla forma, ma forse è proprio questa che lo rende un buonissimo pennello. Non perde peli, non segna, è morbido e stende il fondotinta in maniera uniforme senza impazzire. Normalmente i pennelli tendono a sollevare le squame della pelle e creano quell'odioso effetto pelle screpolata che ti fa sembrare disidratato come fossi appena tornato da un esilio nel deserto. Questo pennello assolutamente no, è molto delicato e non è troppo piccolo come molti in commercio! Spero di esserti stata utile :)

Absolutely amazing. I have spent lots of money looking for the perfect foundation brush over the years from high end to pound shops and all of them have gone on the bin, this however is a keeper. It really does leave a silky smooth finish. It’s must have any anyone’s makeup bag.

I don’t normally review items but I think I should if it’s worth a buy! This brush is brilliant! I was using a brush that would sometimes leave brush marks of foundation on my face, but this one feels lovely on your skin, blends foundation brilliantly and is so soft and gentle. Would highly recommend!

I love this brush! It's nice and soft, great for applying foundation. My only problem is with cleaning. It is very hard to get all of the product out.

This is a great product exactly what it says in the description! It is well packed with bristles and my foundation goes on evenly and flawless, you can dab the brush where it gives a good coverage. I would definitely recommend this product and we’ll worth the money.

Very nice product and good value for price

I bought one of these and after using it twice I had to buy another one!! Unlike some people here, I don’t find that it absorbs a lot of product at all!! It distributes foundation evenly and leaves no brush marks!! Great under the eyes as well!!! It’s so dense and yet soft!! Love it!!
