SINGER Beginners Sew Kit with Zipper Pouch - 130 pcs

I don't sew very often; I only occasionally do it to repair a coat, a bookbag, and other similar items. I hate throwing things away when I know them, like them, and the repair is so easy. Up until I went off to graduate school, I was always fortunate enough to have a roommate with some needles and thread I could use. When my favorite backpack developed a tear, I quickly needed a sewing kit to patch it up. This one did the trick. It came with plenty of pins, needles, a pin cushion, a needle threader (my first time using one, and it really made the work far less frustrating), measuring tape, thread, thimble, and some other useful gadgets that I've yet to figure out. I'm pleased to report that the thimble fit perfectly on my fingers. I repaired and patched the bookbag's tough canvas hide without any problems (and I didn't bend any needles doing it. The most satisfying part was that once the repair was finished, I could just toss everything into the provided pouch (which actually has two pockets), and into my closet. No need to worry about finding a container that needles won't come spilling out of. If you're in the the same boat as me, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

This kit had all the things my daughter needed for her beginner's sewing class. The scissors and the seam ripper worked well. The only thing she could not use was the pins, as the instructor wanted pins with the big balls on top, so those we had to buy separately. Not a deal-killer though. The pouch is sturdy and even had room for her substitute pins.

I bought this for my Mom who is in assisted living. She needed a sewing kit for minor repairs, and this has absolutely everything you could need. The kit contains 7in fabric scissors; tape measure; metal thimble; white chalk pencil; seam ripper; a box of pins; aluminum sewing gauge and a small pin cushion. It also has 10 needles; needle threader; eleven colors of small spools of thread in a 5x9in pouch with two zippered compartments: constructed of canvas and vinyl: pink/black. She was thrilled. The quality of the items is regular grade, what you'd get buying them individually at the store, not cheap and flimsy. The price is unbeatable.

I bought this beginners kit for my 6 year old daughter. She is learning how to sew by machine, and I am putting together a small kit for her. Some of these pieces are poorly made and did not meet my expectations. I have been sewing for over 30 years. Pros: My daughters favorite color is pink. Which is why I bought this set. It was better on my budget to purchase this entire set vs buying individual pieces separately. 1. Pink tape measure is perfect. 2. Sewing gage works as expected and is pink!! 3. Needles, good first package for beginners. Cons: 1. Scissors are a made poorly and have a cheap plastic handle. They are very light weight and not heavy duty or sturdy at all. 2. Pink tomato is not your grandma's tomato. Very disappointed. It is also extremely small in size. When squished, you hear plastic crunching inside. 3. Seam ripper is flimsy and cheap plastic. I used it once and almost broke it. I felt it bending while using it. Not a professional seam ripper. 4. The bag in which the supplies came in arrived stained.

My wife and I are 4-H leaders and have started a Sewing Club in the local area. We provided a list of items for the kids to get for the club like needles, pins and all of that. These have everything that they needed and we provided that information to the parents so they can look online for them. They are great for beginners just learning basic stitches and how to handle threading needles, etc. The parents were so excited about them for the price from amazon. We ordered 3 more to have as back ups in case some of the kids need them. I was very happy that we did as 2 of the girls come from a family that their dad is out of work. We gave them the kits to help out and encourage them to keep coming to the meetings. All of the kids have been so excited for the class and with the kits. They haven't had to purchase anything else so far for the levels that they are at.

Small, cute sewing kit for $9. Great stocking stuffer for college students. Has all the basics. Not the greatest quality, but fine for small projects or a repair kit for school or the office. I might even put one in my emergency bug-out bag.

Simple, perfect, and exactly what everyone needs in the house. I wanted a small sewing kit that I could use to fix clothing and this was an amazing set for an amazing price! I found the same exact thing without the bag for the same price and was so glad the bag came with this for perfect storage of all the items.

Got this for my aspiring fashion designer daughter-shes 8 1/2. Its a lot smaller than I thought and the picture showed purple parts on it, which to me I could care less...but to her it made her sad it arrived in blue because purple is her favorite. Cant figure out how to make this reverse to lock stitches in, it goes through needles like crazy and shes only used it twice and on thin fabric-as in walmart quality thin quarter fabric to learn. I wouldn't buy again sorry to say because yesterday it STOPPED working! She bawled her eyes out and I feel like Ive spent more time and money on this than I should have by now. Ive purchased multiple needles when I feel needles should last more than 3-5minutes. No explanation- thats annoying. Shes used it twice and its been a headache more than a learning experience and thats disappointing. Id hoped it would last through a few months of uses- not two uses.

I mostly got it because I love pink lol but for a beginner I'm very satisfied with the quality of the kit. It fits all my other sewing supplies I have as well which is great.

No vale para nada lo que cuesta, todo es de mala calidad incluyendo la bolsa, si quieren un kit de costura mejor consiganlo en la parisina, por menos de la mitad del precio de este pueden conseguir algo mas decente.

Petit kit pas cher et complet pour faire mes retouches. Excellent pour une débutante et de bonne qualité,je suis ravie.
