Worked great on BikeE AT recumbent bike
The BikeE AT recumbent (and NX, FX, RX, E2) all use a Cane Creek air shock on the rear. As these bikes are now around 20 years old, the shocks can be in bad shape. The Cane Creek is rebuildable but a kit is around $25 and the shock body may be worn enough that is will still leak air. I found this DNM shock and decided that at the price it was worth a try. These come in various lengths and the shorter length, which was the closest to the length of the Cane Creek shock, Was not in stock. So I order the next size up. I was very impressed in the build quality of the shock. My concerns were that the damping and spring rate (750lb) would be inadequate for my tall/heavy size. Also would the added shock length create a problem with clearance or the chain line.To mount the shock on the top I needed to add 2 washers on each side of the shock as spacers. Other than holding the washers in place while bolting up, this was simple. For the bottom it required filing down the spacer on each side until it fit into the bottom mount. Once installed I was very happy that the shock works great! The added height is about 3/4" additional at the seat. There are no issues with the chain line. The damping and spring are near perfect. I did back off the preload a couple of turns for a slight bit more softness. All in all, for me, it is a great improvement. I don't need to have a shock air pump on hand or need to check ithe shock air before riding.

Nice basic shock for V2100 owners.
This is a direct replacement for the rear spring on a Genisys V2100. Use the 165 mm one. The original part is just a spring, no rebound control. Save all the fasteners and plastic spacers, you will need them. Noticeable improvement. Kind of wish I had sprung for one with a lockout now, but this was cheaper. FYI, the shock looks white in the photo (the original V2100 spring is white), but it is a nice beadblasted aluminum- looks whitish. Appears well made. I have a couple hundred miles on it with no issues. Highly recommended.

Nice option for the price
It's a simple spring shock with only a preload adjustment, but it could be a good value for the application you need it for. I recently bought a Aostirmotor S18 ebike (known by other names/makes) that comes with a very stiff rear suspension. The stock shock is rated at 1,500lbs and is only 5" long. I wanted a cushier ride so swapped this 6" shock that has a 750lb rated spring. The ride is smoother and there's a bit more travel. For only $40 I'm happy with the improved ride. A heavier rider could simply increase the spring preload on this if it felt too soft. Installing a shock that is an inch longer than stock will raise the seat and stand-over height, so it's something to consider if you're shorter than about 5' 10". The bike company, or an experienced welder, could easily move the forward shock mount another .5-.75" down the frame to allow for a 6"/150mm shock which would keep the seat height lower. Getting better features in an inexpensive shock requires going to a longer shock length. Those have more adjustability (air/dampening/preload/valving) but might not fit your project. In case you do this with the same bike, loosen/adjust the rear brake cable to allow for the added extension.

Replaces Older DNM-DV6 Perfectly
This shock is actually a DNM-DV22, it's specs are viewable on the DNM website. According to their website, it appears that DNM longer makes the DV6 in the 160mm length, so I bought this. I installed this shock on my late '90s Mongoose D60r to replace the blown out original equipment DNM-DV6. I ordered the 160mm length to match my old shock. It fit perfectly with out needing to use the supplied extra bushings, the ones already in the new shock body fit perfectly. You should double check the measurements to make sure that you buy the correct shock for your bike.Overall, I am happy with this shock- it doesn't pogo up and down as much when I pedal hard and fast like my old, drained out shock did. I use this bike to ride around campgrounds when we travel around, and it suits me just fine for that. If you are serious about expecting a perfectly controlled ride while fast downhill riding, this may not be the shock for you, but for riding at a moderately fast or a leisurely pace on a dirt road, it is fine.

Great Shock !
I put this shock on my 2000 Specialized Stumpjumper. I had to take the aluminum bushings off the top of the blown out Fox Air Vanilla and put them in my lathe and take about a 1/16th" off the diameter and about the same on the width on each one (2) to make them fit like they did on the old Fox. On the bottom mount I just took the sleeve off the bottom of the Fox and put it into the bottom of the new shock. I used the 160mm /750lb DNM shock and it works great. There are very few options this size and it is lucky that it is not expensive and fits without too much work. The coilover style looks much cooler than the air types of shocks and seem to last longer.

So far, so good.
Bought to replace completely destroyed KS rear shock on my back-up mountain bike. To be honest, that KS lasted nearly 10 years..I do not expect that kind of longevity in this DNM, but it is for my back-up bike and that doesn't get ridden to hard or too regularly, which is why I bought this shock. But, in the bouncing off curbs, and some backyard stunts, it has performed pretty well. It's an all aluminum body, and steel spring. No adjustments other than spring tension, but so far does the job. As with all non-adjustable rear shocks..there will be peddle bob on hills, and this is no different. To compensate, I set the spring tension a little high. If you want a decent shock, cheap, as a fill in while you save for a Fox Float, or Cane Creek, this is for you.

The least you can settle for!
I'm 220lb with gear- and this thing works perfectly. You are not pogo-sticking with this. The rebound is slowed down slightly like it should be. I had to cut one of the spacers (I've done it once before installing a custom shock on another bike so get your saw ready and measure 7 times before cuttin!). I still don't know why basic cheap bike shocks are so crappy- like on a cheap full suspension Mongoose or some other bike that should have never been made. Got one of those bikes? Well, give it a normal shock like this one, at least :P

It works.
I bought a low-end suspension bike and replaced the rear shock - which self-destructed on the first trip I took - with this one. So far, so good. It seems to be well made, and it offers a nicely damped and sprung ride.

Buena amortiguación y calidad de materiales
Fué fácil instalarlo en mi bici eléctrica. Me parece un amortiguador de muy buena calidad tanto de funcionamiento como de los materiales y fabricación. Se siente a gusto rodar usandolo. Recomendable!

Semble solide pour le prix.
J'ai changé mon ancien amortisseur de 5.5 pouces de mon specialized. J'ai dû faire quelques ajustements mais j'ai réussi à l'installer. Il fonctionne bien.

It works and it fits.
The shock fit perfectly, is the right weight limit and gives a little more travel for my suspension.

Doesn't come with the bolts needed to install it.
My suspension was stolen off my bike so I bought this to replace it. Except theres no way to install it because it doesn't include the bolts... idk what they expect me to do.
