Accurate anemometer and thermometer
Pros: Comes in a nice plastic container to protect it. Easy to read instructions. It is accurate for both wind speed, compass and thermometer. It also tells you the intensity of the wind. We got this because we live on an island and get really bad windstorms, we thought it would be cool to read the levels of the storm and have really liked it so far. Cons: it was difficult to retract because we didn't realize we had to pull the cord down in order to retract. Also, the metal connecting the head to the extendable handle was pretty flimsy and broke pretty easily. We have hot glued it back on and it is okay now. This anemometer and thermometer is accurate and other than the one part I talked about, well put together. I still believe this is well worth the money.

Instrument literally worked once then started giving false readings. I checked all the operation specifications and they were not breeched yet this instrument still does not work.Disappointed.

Understand what you’re getting..
“Weather Station” led me down an inaccurate path. I expected that we would set this up in more or less a stationary location. Our interest in it is derived from our hillside location in the Sierra foothills, between towns, where we seldom get accurate weather forecasting of wind velocity, temperature or humidity.. We get destructive winds which could cause problems because we are a lavender farm getting ready to plant our first acre. The experimental plot we planted last year survived the winds and torrential rains, but they were more mature plants. So, to discover that this is a handheld anemometer requires a new plan! The equipment arrives in a convenient case, and the instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The equipment is obviously well-made and impressive. We’ll be experimenting with it this summer to find the best location to take readings. I’ll amend this review to reflect our experience.

One misleading complaint
Overall I think that this device works well and seems to be relatively accurate. I race sailboats and have for pretty much all of my life so I have a pretty good estimate of wind speeds as many of the larger boats I've raced on have anemometers on top of the mast giving a true wind speed/direction reading. The wind direction is where this falls short. I was somewhat under the impression that the head rotated on this to get the wind direction. While the product description is misleading saying it gives direction, it actually does give compass readings. The caveat being, you need to turn your arm into the direction of the wind. As the wind is not visible, it's still a best guess effort if you're facing 100% into the direction of the wind. This unit doesn't cost much more than the smaller pocket-sized units but brings far more features to the table. We'll be using this when we have to do our race committee duty during the season.

Junk unit / inaccurate with a poor warranty that protects the company, not the user ...
I really wanted to use this digital anemometer during the fall and winter months when we have harsher weather. The anemometer is exactly what I wanted to set up an amateur weather station. Today there have been some fairly heavy gusts, apparently up to 20 miles per hour plus. When I set up the anemometer, I put in some Eveready Gold batteries instead of the included ones. I do appreciate the fact that these were included. The wind velocity was fairly accurate when I was outside, but the digital display seems to go all over the place. I can quickly switch to check the wind flow with the touch of a button. When I first set up connector, I was very careful to put it under magnification to ensure I wouldn’t bend the pins. I’d highly recommend doing this so as not to inadvertently put the connector in wrong. The learning curve isn’t all that steep and the small instructional manual fairly decent. I immediately ran into issues as I tried to toggle from Centigrade to Fahrenheit. It toggled readily, but remained inaccurate. The humidity level was totally off as well. I have an accurate weather sensor here and, for good measure, checked the hourly forecast at a nearby weather station.Try as I might, I simply couldn’t get this unit to do anything accurately. I thought perhaps the wind velocity was, but it was measuring a high velocity when the fans on the wind wheel weren’t even turning. We are having heavy wind gusts (check my photograph) and I seriously had my doubts as to the accuracy when I saw a Norway spruce bend in the wind. Defective unit? Possibly, however the one I got was junk. The warranty isn’t a good one as they “disclaim any liability due to transportation damages, incorrect use or operation; manipulation, alterations or repair attempt; without warranty card, invoice.” In other words, this company is covering their bases … no way will they replace if the least little bit goes wrong. The burden of proof is on the customer. I take very good care of my electronics. There was no shipping damage as the case was quite sturdy. I took great pains to connect the cable. Nope, cannot recommend this unit.

Really fast delivery
When we opened the box, the batteries were coroded and leaking. Apart from that the product seems OK.

Generous feature set. Temperature and humidity a bit off. Can't measure CFM lower than about 40.
I have a couple other Wintact measurement devices and have been impressed by the overall quality of them for the features and cost and so far I'm finding this anemometer doesn't break with the trend. The device itself is all plastic and not particularly special in any way in terms of sturdiness but overall feels solid enough and not outright cheap. It doesn't have a rechargeable battery and takes four AAA batteries (included), and at the end of the day I actually prefer this to a lithium battery built in when it comes to relatively infrequently used tools as this means it'll always be ready to go and work when you need it as long as you have some standard batteries around. The screen is huge and easy to read, and there is a bright backlight (you manually turn the backlight on and off by short pressing the power button). It shows a huge amount of data right on the unit all at once without having to constantly switch modes or anything. You can definitely find a basic anemometer for a lot less than this but this has a few key useful features that differentiate it. The first thing is that it also measures temperature and humidity though I have some reservations about that I'll get to. Second thing is it actually can measure wind angle. Third thing is that you can connect it to a PC and monitor in real time or analyze recorded data in the software.Temperature and humidity are "okay" in terms of accuracy. I found that the temperature generally reads about 1C higher than actual, and the humidistat measures a pretty big 15% or so higher than actual. I've compared these to the values in my house measured by my HVAC equipment at the place where it measures them, which I've previously determined are pretty much spot on. You may want to take the RH measurement of this device with a grain of salt. The wind angle works with what appears to be some kind of digital compass or gyroscope built into the hand held "fan" portion of the unit and shows in real time the angle you have it pointing (assuming you have the stick pointing straight up) in terms of degrees of rotation and it seems to be accurate and responsive out of the box.Wind speed and flow/quantity seems accurate though I have no other device to compare the measurements against. One thing that I noticed was that the CFM measurement is listed in the specs as going from 0 but there is enough resistance in the fan that measures it that I was unable to get the fan spinning to take any measurement smaller than around 40 cfm. If you need to make measurements of very small amounts of flow under about 50 cfm this may not be for you.The software is kind of clumsy and clunky, and reminds me of Windows software that might have been common in design 10-15 years ago. While it may not be pretty or particularly intuitive, it does work and will do the job. It can be used to show real time data from the device or historical stored data and does have some basic charting built in. Now the saving grace of the software even if it doesn't do everything you need for analysis is that it can export the data in standardized format for import into whatever more powerful data analysis software you're more comfortable with using.

棒が短いよ
気温も湿度も図れるのはいい。値も遅延なく表示される。しかしセンサーの棒が短い。あともう1段伸びてくれないと測りづらい。

It's either not working as expected or the user experience is too difficult to understand
While the presentation and feel of this product is quite good, my experience has been frustrating.Included in the box you get a nice hard case, micro-USB cable (for PC connection), four x AAA batteries, a manual, a want for measuring wind speed/temperature, and the anemometer. The display on the anemometer is clear and you can toggle a backlight. All relevant information such as temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and status indicators are presented and the buttons feel nice and double as numeric pads. The telescopic fan is easy to hold, but there is no way to mount it (you have to hold it by hand). The anemometer does have a 1/4" screw hole for mounting to a tripod. The software needed to be downloaded from a website that honestly looked sketchy. It did install without any trouble, but I get errors when trying to use it (config.ini exception errors) and it's unreliable.I've been able to use this unit twice, and now when I turn it on it will say FULL, even though there is no data on it, and none of the measurements will work. I have to pull the batteries to get it to turn off and it returns to this FULL screen. Not sure if this unit is defective, but it's unusable in this state.
