11x17 Portfolio, Black (566610)

I needed a case to bring tabloid sized drawings between home and work. I started with a carboard accordion style folder, but that doesn't hold up very well to all the travelling. This portfolio has been holding up great. It's very expensive for what it is, but I haven't found anything better. Actual dimensions are 18.25 x 12.75 x 1.5, fits tabloid sized manila folders as well. === Update === The portfolio is still holding up great and I still really like it. I did lose one of the plastic rivets that keep the buckles from rotating. I can see eventually losing one of the buckles if that rivet breaks or falls out too. I am hoping that someone knows where can buy the correct plastic rivet to replace these. Considering what this case costs, hopefully the seller will reach out with a solution?

The description of this does it no justice. This is pretty stable plastic with solid clasps, very sleek, rigid, and trendy. We ordered it to carry 11x17 maps and data to meetings. The material is nice and we were able to put our company logo on it. Might suggest some of our other offices order some! Recieved this in about 3 days from Amazon.

I use this to hold a large score book, clipboard, pencils, and a sharpener when coaching youth softball. I throw it in the back of my truck with the equipment bag, and it is holding up well from a durability perspective.

The construction is fair at best. The back is attached to the sides weakly. I opened the cover and the top area popped apart. I salvaged it with a rivet to hold it together. The original construction could use something like this to reinforce the adhesive. I’m keeping it as the size is what I need.

I haves tried the paper folders but they last about 3 months and then starts to split. This heavy duty plastic seems like it will do lots better and last longer. I carry shooting targets in mine, different sizes but 100lb paper stock. The total bundle is about 2 inches thick.

Made of a very hard plastic. Hard to close and very stiff.

It does what it says.. it fits 11x17 paper with lots of room to spare which I like. So if I have a stack of tabloid papers it won't be bend or sqeeze like an envolope. But since the material is plastic, it almost feels like a kid's toy. The clips seem to be fragile, so far I left it open because I don't want it to break on me so soon. Since the price is not cheap, maybe the design can look more proffessional instead of boxie.

Bought this for my boss, she absolutely loves it!
