Meguiar's G191700 Smooth Surface Clay Kit, Safe and Easy Car Claying for Smooth as Glass Finish

I’ve used several different clay bar kits over the years, and this is the only one I buy now. I’ve been clay barring my cars for years, and when done properly, it makes a massive difference in your paint. If you clay bar twice a year and follow up with a ceramic wax or coating, it does wonders for maintaining your finish. I live in the Desert Southwest where the sun is extremely hard on cars. I clay bar twice a year and apply a ceramic coating 3–4 times per year to keep the paint protected and smooth. This kit is easy to use and comes with everything you need. The clay bars are sturdy and a good size, making them easy to grip, fold, and work with. You can instantly tell how effective clay barring is by touch. Run your hand over a section before and after treatment — the difference is night and day. This clay bar, when used properly, removes dirt, grime, and embedded contaminants, leaving the surface smooth and ready for polish or wax. The included spray is highly lubricated and makes the process easy and safe for your paint. When you maintain your car consistently, clay barring becomes even easier because contaminants don’t have time to build up heavily. The kit provides excellent value. You get multiple clay bars, a full bottle of spray (which covers about two full treatments on my Camaro), and a quality microfiber cloth that’s useful even after the clay process is complete. My process is simple: wash and dry the car first, then clay using plenty of lubricant. I work in straight lines, section by section. I don’t chase perfection in one pass — I prefer consistent maintenance over time. Clay doesn’t polish your paint; it preps it. Once the surface is smooth, I follow immediately with wax or ceramic protection. Clay barring is not a step to skip if you care about your paint. In my experience, Meguiar’s makes one of the best kits available. Highly recommend.

This was the best price found online and all the items included were definitely a plus. Having three clay bars, the Quik Detailer and Premium Microfiber cloth all in one package was a real value. Other clay kits have different composition of items included, but this one was the best value IMHO. Plus, the instructions were very easy to follow and worked well, easier than I had expected. Overall, its a great investment in keeping up and maintaining the appearance of your vehicle.

I parked my car near a construction site and it became covered with fallout from a paint spraying operation. It was covered with very tiny particles of paint. I used Meguiar’s Clay Surface Clay Kit to remove all the paint particles. It was very easy to apply and the result was fantastic. The surface was clean, but not slick - a polishing cloth would not slide easily over the surface. However, once I had completed the job by waxing, the surface was wonderfully slick. I highly recommend this product. It is well worth the cost.

Item worked really good to provide a mirror like finish to my paint. The clay bar easily removed dirt and grime from my car paint. First i washed and then clay barred the surface. It made the paint surface nice and smooth without scratching. Good size it comes with 3 bars. One bar was enough to do the entire car

Worked great! I didn’t think the clay would make a difference but it actually did. The clay picked up well, was easy to use and my paint came out looking new. I would’ve given 5 stars but the towels in the box had some dead bugs in them. Little legs stuck to the cloth. I think I just got an old box.

I got contaminants in the paint on my new Range Rover sport with a beautiful upgraded paint that was quite pricey and therefore, I wanted to be careful not to cause swirl marks trying to remove it. I tried several things to remove it but had no luck. A friend recommended having someone Clay bar it, at a cost of around $1500. I watchedseveral videos online and thought why not do it myself? I ordered. The Maguire‘s smooth surface clay kit. I read the directions and followed them exactly! The results are amazing! All of the contaminants came out of the paint and the surface is a slick as glass. I highly recommend this product! As a matter of fact, I never go wrong selecting Maguire‘s products! This a great kit, it is some nice clay bars with the clay lube to let you clay bar your entire vechicle. (Event a pickup or SUV.) I used these to prep some cars of mine before putting on a ceramic coating. These worked great and you will be happy you bought this kit. Be sure to watch some youtube videos on how to use these. (Wash the car completely first, don't push these down hard rather glide across the paint, fold periodically to avoid scratching the paint, etc.)
