I'VE TRIED THE BEEF STICKS, THEY ARE VERY GOOD. THE TURKEY STICKS ARE THE WORST EVER! THEY TASTE SOUR AND SPOILED. I SHOULD HAVE LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. THE MAIN COMPLETE THAT I READ WAS THE VINEGAR TASTE. I LOVE VINEGAR, SO I THOUGHT HOW BAD CAN THEY BE....SOOOO SOOOO BAD!!! THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET. THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO SELL SUCH A HORRIBLE PRODUCT. OF COURSE YOU CAN NOT RETURN THEM FOR A REFUND. SHAME ON YOU PALEOVALLEY COMPANY FOR NOT BACKING UP YOUR PRODUCT. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. I AM SO MAD AND DISAPPOINTED .....CAN YOU TELL!!!!!! I WON'T EVEN REORDER THE BEEF STICKS WHICH I REALLY ENJOYED. I WILL GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY...YOUR LOSS

I ordered both the beef and turkey in the same order. The beef arrived already expired by a few days. The turkey didn't expire until July (now May), but looked very questionable and inconsistent. Both my wife and I felt ill after eating them. I contacted the seller and they quickly replaced both the beef and turkey sticks. However, the turkey sticks still looked and felt the same as the original order. Packages were varying from tight and firm, to loose, squishy and some had a whitish film on them and the package was full of air rather than tightly vacuum sealed - one even was on the verge of bursting from the ballooning. I've contacted the seller again about the turkey sticks, but they haven't responded.Consume at your own risk.

I like what they're trying to do, and I hope they stick with it and are eventually successful. Those of us in the paleo community could use more high quality convenience snacks. However, as of now they are way off the mark with these.My wife and I were excited to try one as soon as we received them. We cracked one open and took a bite, and it tasted sour and rancid. We noticed a sticky white film around the entire thing, so I rinsed it off and we tried another bite. It was much better, but still sour and just tasted...off. It gave both of us a stomach ache, so we threw the rest away. I contacted the company, and they immediately sent out a new pack. We didn't even bother to open it as it was from the exact same batch as the first ones we received, and every stick contained the same creamy white liquid. Upon contacting the company again, they responded that it was perfectly natural and healthy, and that it wouldn't affect the taste at all. I responded that it most certainly affected the taste, and asked if they would like me to send the unopened 10-pack back. I never heard back from them.I was quite disappointed in these, and Paleovalley in general. I hope they get things figured out and corrected, but I won't be doing business with them again anytime soon, unfortunately.

I was looking a for a salty shelf stable snack without nightshades and without commercial glutamate taste enhancers. Also I did not want too much PUFA so we ordered the turkey with orange and cranberry. We are carnivorish, paleoish, aipish, fodmap types. These seem perfect. They taste fine to me and unless your palate is blown out by slim Jim's, Doritos, and other hyper palatable foods, you find them just fine too.They were not dry at all. My wife was also pleased. You get a shot of protein and salt without much downside and for this rarity the price is fine for us. Our intention is to use them as emergency food when at work where temptation is high. Maybe two of these and a larabar instead of jimmy johns or cupcakes.Update: We have eaten them many times now with little negative results. Great!

So, I did end up having to throw some out from my first order, because I didn't eat them all right away and some of the sticks grew mold inside the package. It seems some other reviewers have received them in this state, so if yours have any signs of white film, ask to return them. The ones that were good, though, were surprisingly delicious! (I am writing about the orange cranberry) Especially if you have any type of chewing or swallowing issues and think regular jerky is way too tough, you'll love these.

Ok, I am a diabetic and manage to take absolutely NO medication and maintain a lean, healthy body by eating almost exclusively lean meats (like this product) and vegetables. I'm truly grateful to companies like Paleovalley for producing fine products like these that contain no sugars. No, it doesn't taste like a bar that has added sugars, but the whole point is to condition your tastebuds to appreciate real food, instead of food that is full of sweetners and chemicals. Give this a try, and open your mind to really feeding your body, not using food to get high. I think the taste is wonderful, and you can eat it and feel good about yourself. I never have to go hungry, I get to snack anytime of day with products like this, and I am a 53 year old woman with measurements of 36-23-35, at 5'5" and 124 lbs. If you really want to look and feel your best try products like this that have no sugar and adjust your way of looking at food, and you will see your body transform to what you always wanted it to be.

I am so-so with these. I like the softer texture, but the seasoning is too much. I really don't taste the turkey - mostly the seasoning and weird wet exterior.
