The best! Even for leather other than shoes and boots!!
The media could not be loaded. Love Smiths!! I use it all the time for my Redwing 1907’s and it keeps them looking fresh. But I also use it for more than my boots and other shoes. I’ve put this on leather of all kinds. Like my 20 year old belt than gets dried out quick. Smiths brings it back to healthy. I’ve also hit my old baseball glove from when I was a kid with Smiths and it revitalized the leather. Also put it on my grandpas KaBar knife sheath from Pearl Harbor WWII. Didn’t discolor it or anything negative. Hydrated the leather and has kept it from cracking even more. Love the fact that I can preserve older leather and bring it back to life. Biggest thing I love about Smiths though is that it’s all natural. I can apply it with my bare hands and confidently know that its safe. Unlike most all other leather conditioners with warning labels on their tins. Smiths has ZERO warning labels or chemicals. My dogs or kids won’t get hurt if they accidentally get into it. Can’t beat Smiths. Hands down the best!! HANDS DOWN THE SAFEST!!

Good value, mostly natural ingredients
Great leather care product for the price. Works like a charm and gives a nice, healthy hydrated look to your leather. It does seem like chocolate a bit but the smell seems to lessen with time.

Awesome Balm
I am so glad I bought 2 tins of this balm. The 1oz here, and the 4oz directly from the Smiths. It's quite amazing so far. I have an old leather sling backpack I found at a thrift store. Dry as a bone. So far just after treating it, it looks so much better. This balm did make it look darker, but only because the leather was so dry. The darkness isn't permanent. Use a really soft towel or rag so it's applied faster. It isn't greasy. And you don't have to glob it on. Now I did lightly treat it a second time. But only due to it's really dry condition. Be sure to clean your leather properly before treating it. You don't want to grind in any filth into the hide. The balm being all natural is safe to apply without any gloves. Just make sure your hands are clean. I do not know if it water proofs. But, with the beeswax probably makes it more water resistant than without. Oh fyi, it smells chocolate-ish. Don't expect it to smell like a Hershey's.

Perfect for natural leather
If you have something like natural Essex veg tanned leather or natural Pueblo leather or natural Horween or something along those lines that hasn't been darkened and you'd like to maintain that light natural color then Smith's is the way to go.I've put two coats on all the natural leather stuff I own and it has protected them without darkening them considerably (maybe a half shade darker with two coats).Stuff smells like chocolate, it is a very pleasant scent. It offers a way to protect your boots, belts, etc. and keep that natural color so that it can patina and darken with wear and time, naturally.

This works great
I used this on my wallet after dropping it in the ocean and once it dried, I applied 2 coats of it because it was so dried out from all of the salt. It brought my wallet from looking very dry and feeling crusty to feeling brand new

Worth it!
This balm gives new life to boots! Once I use up the initial small tin, I will definitely be back for the larger size. My husband and I both have expensive leather working boots (and some cheap ones, too) that we love, but which were looking a little rough and worn. We didn't want to damage the leather, and didn't want to change the color. This balm was recommended by a Maine boot manufacturer, so we gave it a try - and very happy we did, too! With minimal effort, the leather looks much softer and cleaner, without changing the color drastically or adding unnecessary shine. (See picture, with one boot quickly rubbed with Smith's and buffed with a cotton cloth, one boot untreated.) Super bonus that this is made in Maine!

Best Conditioner and Care for all my leather products - NON-Toxic!
I've used Smith's for well over a year now and it's hands down the best stuff I've found for my leather goods. The all-natural ingredients not only smell and feel great as you caring for your leather but also ensures you aren't introducing any toxins to your skin.
