Fertilome 8 Oz Over The Top Grass Killer - 10434

I had really bad invasive Bermuda grass in my flower beds for years. After lots of research, I decided to try this. IT WORKS!!! I have a few grasses popping up but nothing another application can’t handle. 10/10 recommendation!

I researched what to use to kill grass near my roses. This worked great. Took about a week. Roses are not affected. The bottle made 8 gallons. Great product!

Followed directions and used it to rid grass from around listed perennial plants. It didn't harm the perennials but also did NOT kill any grass. I had used GrassOut Max (clethodim) successfully before, but decided to try this due to the cost. Bad decision.

I use it on my centipede lawn to kill crabgrass and bermuda grass that invade it without harming the centipede. Do not use on fescue. My neighbor saw me killing crabgrass with it, bought some for her fescue yard and killed it. Easy to mix in a sprayer. One ounce product to one ounce of dawn dish washing liquid to one gallon of water. The soap acts as a surfactant. You can buy a separate surfactant but it will cost a lot of money and dawn does the same thing. Just remember to add the water to the sprayer first and then the soap or you will have suds all over. Gently swirl shake the sprayer after filling. The product selectively inhibits photosynthesis so the crabgrass and bermuda grass will turn brown and die. The only downside is this stuff is expensive.

I bought this to combat pesty grass type weeds in my flower bed, but on reading the directions, the Over The Top specifies mixing it in sprayer with a Crop Oil Concentrate (that also must be purchased) to make it more effective by sticking better. I added a little bit of Dawn dish detergent to try and get that effect. So I think the seller ought to mention this in the description and/or provide a link to a Crop Oil Concentrate, so a customer doesn't find themselves missing part of what will make it work.I can't say yet how successful using Dawn is; the directions say it can take 3 weeks to work on mature, tall weedy grasses. It's been one week so far, and no sign of working yet.

It took three treatments but it is the ONLY product I found, that only kills grass, that was effective on Bermuda Grass and I’ve tried several different treatments with no success. I had a very healthy stand of Bermuda grass.

I made two passes with this stuff. Applied once, then again a week later. Here now one more week later and It killed all random patches of foreign grass completely that was mixed in my centipede lawn. Nothing but healthy centipede grass left. Killed some pretty big hearty crabgrass too which was my main goal.
