Great portable grill
I ordered this grill when I saw it being offered as the Deal of the Day. I purchased the stand, the hose adaptor for 20 lb. propane cylinder, as well as the grill cover. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with this grill. First of all, the major components come assembled, all that is required is to attach the grill to the frame(legs) and voila, you are pretty much ready to grill. The grill appears to be very well built, and the extra accessories I purchased fit perfectly and are easy to use. The foldable stand is very nice; however, I would ask people to exercise caution when setting it up, since you may get one of your fingers caught in between the moving parts (didn't happen to me, but I could definitely see the potential for injury). The cover is of good quality and it's also waterproof (at least water resistant where the water does not appear to penetrate). It was put to the test as soon as I received it, since it was sitting in my backyard for almost a week during which it constantly rained. Upon removing the cover, I was surprised to see my grill perfectly dry. The only drawback is that the cover only protects the grill, which leaves the optional stand uncovered, which I don't think is a big problem given the good quality of the stand. In regards to grilling, I can honestly say that this grill performed very well. The grilling surface is rather spacious, allowing one to cook a considerable amount of food. The heat is evenly distributed along the surface, allowing the user to maximize the cooking space. We are a family of four and this grill was able to accomodate enough food to satisfy our appetite. In regards to flare ups, I noticed that there were some , but they are common when the meat being cooked has relatively high fat content. I don't step away from the grill while I am using it, which helps me address the flare ups when they occur.Last but not least, cleaning the grill was relatively easy, the grate and the flame tamer are easily removable and can be cleaned in the sink, sice their size is manageable. The grease "cup" should be removed after every grilling session, since the capacity is limited (it's a portable grill after all). With the grate and tamer removed, the bottom of the grill is exposed, allowing you to clean the bottom of the grill easily.Overall, I would recommend this grill to those who want to have the convenience of portability. Also, the compact size is helpful for those who may have limited space. The relatively small size does not compromise capacity, which is very important to me. I was skeptical about buying this grill, but I am gla I made the decision. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.Happy Holidays and Happy grilling!

I really like this grill because I finally found what I was ...
I really like this grill because I finally found what I was looking for. It has its own cons and pros, as probably everything else on the market. This grill ended my fairly long search for a decent small portable grill, so I finally settled on this one. I learned in the process of searching that the biggest issue with many small grills is the cooking temperature (never get hot enough to sear) - despite the fact all suppliers swear that they do. I give it five stars because it does work indeed - can sear a steak on high to make medium-rare, or I can smoothly bring the temperature down for brats, veggies, hamburgers, or chicken. It heats up very fast (5-7 minutes at the begining to bring it to 400 on high), and then after I load my food (still on high), and close the lid - it drops to 300, but gets back to 400 within a minute. I like the shelfs and the way thy fold in (very convenient), and the shelfs are fairly robust (can easily support a heavy plate full of steaks). Overall design - I like it, but not everything. I like the fact the lid is stainless steel, and the handle never gets hot - I can always open the lid with bare hand. The collecting tray on the bottom is conveniently positioned and can easily be cleaned, but its utility is very questionable. There are 4 holes on the bottom of the grill, and the tray is potioned in the middle barely covering two of the four. Most of the grease either hits the flame tamer or remains on the bottom which is flat . The stand is attached to the grill with four screws. I get loose every now and then because the screws are located on the inside of the grill and get very hot, but I tighten them every now and then and it works fine. Ignition starts every time I turn it on (hasn't failed yet). There was some weird plastic smell the first time I started the grill, but it was gone in 10 minutes and never reappeared.

Great size, great functionality, great looks, and great results... and a minor QA issue
I exhaustively compared portable gas grills on my quest for the perfect small-yet-big-enough model to supplement our huge charcoal smoker/grill. We wanted something small enough to keep on a patio near our back door, something quick to fire up for everyday dinners, something of great quality that would last several years, and something that would be easy to store in the garage in the winter (though now I think we might just use this thing year round!).The features that led us to choose this model over others, such as the well-rated Weber portables, were the fold out trays, the more solid stainless-makeup (the Webers felt a little plasticky to me in comparison), the included vegetable and fish tray, the size, and the thermometer. At this price point, the Weber model lacked space and the thermometer on the lid, as well as trays. We also felt the optional stand for this model was more attractive and practical (though it lacks wheels). Right now, we have our CGG-200 on a small table, but I think we'll soon spring for the stand. We also bought the cover for the grill, and it is very high quality and fits super well.We are really pleased with how this thing cooks. Great flavor (better than usual for propane, I think), lovely grill marks, heats up fast and consistently. We are not hardcore barbecue people, so I'm not one to debate about BTUs and flavorizers, but this one serves its purpose very well and is the perfect size for us. We are able to grill 4 1/4lb burgers and still use less than half the space. So it's a perfect size if you're cooking dinners for 4-6 people and want to toast buns and grill some vegetables on the tray.I do want to mention that we had some quality control issues. The first grill arrived and the support for the rack inside the grill was floating around loose. It had been very poorly welded in place and had broken off somehow in shipping. Amazon was quick to provide a replacement and arrange pickup of the damaged item, and our second one was much more stable. Buuuuut, on one of the bolts that attaches the stand to the bottom of the grill box, the heat-proof coating had been applied really inconsistently, so the nut was not able to be fully tightened. This was a little frustrating, since it was the second QA issue we had, but we were able to get the nut on and engaged just enough (the stand was plenty stable with 3 nuts/bolts, but the fourth one should fit, you know?). If we'd planned to travel a lot with this grill, we'd have sent it back, because I think constant lifting and moving around will eventually loosen the nut. If that nut had fit properly and we weren't 0-2 in the QA department, this would definitely have earned 5 stars from me.We're very happy with our purchase, all the same, and we got a great deal when Amazon lowered the price on this model. Cheaper than others of similar size and features, great quality, and I think this one is going to be a better buy than a compact non-portable. It's simply a terrific value. Excellent cookin' and great lookin'. The portability is a real plus, too. So if you're looking for a great smallish (but not too small) grill for family dinners and some portability for infrequent tailgating or camping, I don't think you can do better than this buy!

Very pleased.
I bought this for my husband to use at our seasonal camp site and he is very happy with it. We had two other silver Cuisinarts in a different model before. He loves the brand.

Great grill!
It's perfect for our small balcony I bought the adaptor hose to use 20# propane bottles but have yet to use the adaptor, as the grill is very efficient and the small 1# containers last for quite a while. The grill is VERY hot so it takes some experimentation to find the right settings to cook with. Cleanup is easy and straightforward and the enameled steel grill is super easy to clean. The surface size of the grill is fairly small so choose your accessories carefully. Having said that, the grill is large enough to cook three or four steaks simultaneously. Love the portability!
