Best pen
This might be a bit dramatic, but I’ve really liked quality stationary for around 10+ years now and this is the best pen I’ve found. It’s not crazy expensive, it writes so smoothly, has a good weight to it because of the metal, and looks good but not pretentious. I use this pen every day and it’s the one that’s clipped to my work notebook for meetings & notes. I feel like I can’t go back to write w any other pen after using this one. Anytime someone needs to borrow this pen, they make a comment about how well it writes! If you’re on the fence, I suggest you try it for yourself :) >1yr update: my first pen still works & looks great and I bought a second to keep on my work notebook Dec 2025 update: I’ve had a couple of these for years now and just buy the refills. They’ve held up great over time. Simple yet superb product

Amazing but too thin for me.
Pen is amazing, returned only because of the ergonomics. Way too thin for my hand so it would cramp my hand on anything more than a few sentences written.

My favorite pen
I love these pens and have them all over the house. They are so comfortable and easy to use. The ink doesn't smear and the writing speed is great. I think it's a great pen and worth the money.

not worth $12, just an average pen - would NOT buy again > *update* > i will buy another
* UPDATE after using for a few days * After some initial issues with skipping and not writing as smoothly as I had hoped this pen has worked itself out. It now writes very smoothly and hasn't skipped since the first day. I still think I'd prefer it to have a slightly finer tip and think it sort of feels cheap for a $12 pen but I like it. The clip is a particularly weak point though. I feel if i clipped it onto a shirt pocket or the button part of a polo shirt it would bend and break in short order. This is a very good pen. If they would beef up the clicker and pocket clip it woudl be a great pen. I'll likely buy another one in a different color. A couple more notables after some use - I can make it smear as a lefty but it is better than most other pens. I have to really push down on the ink immediately after writign to make it smudge. It actually does better than most though when I write something, then immediately highlight what I wrote. Usually this makes the writing smear and the dilutes the highlighter color. This pen doesn't do that at all. I can write then immediately highlight and my highlighter tip is still clean and yellow. Kudos for this. ******** I am particular about how my pens write. I demand smooth, non-skip pens. I also prefer fine or extra-fine tips. I was excited to give this pen a try after reading the description and some reviews but was severely underwhelmed. Pros ink doesn't smear (I'm a leftie) ink color is vibrant fairly smooth but nothing special a little hefty, especially on the bottom half so it feels pretty good in hand Cons it skips - the descrip of this pen make it sound non-skip but it has skipped on me all morning after receiving not as smooth as expected based on descrip and reviews not worth the $12 price tag, several less expensive pens I've tried are just as good or better and are more consistant not as "fine" tip as I'd hoped Indifferent looks - the barrel and barrel finish look and feel great, the pen and retract mechanism look and feel cheap - for a $12 pen I'd expect better, had this been a $4 pen I'd think it looks great I can't/won't return it since I have opened the package and used it. However, I would definitely NOT buy this pen again or recommend it to my friends that use pens.

Favorite pen, writes great all the time!
At first it felt a bit narrow and small, but after getting used to it, the shape and hand feel are great. Solid construction, consistent performance. On my 3rd refill and don't plan on going back to cheap plastic ball point pens any time soon.

Good pen.
I love Pilot's writing instruments. I own several, from fountain pens to mechanical pencils. I had heard a lot of good things about the Acroball system so I picked up this pen to try out. Pros: Look and feel of the pen are great. The metal body feels quality and it has a nice weight and balance in the hand. I love the satin finish. Ink is great. Very good at not smearing and the pen writes smoothly for the most part. Cons: It's advertised as a .07 mm tip, but it is much closer to a .5 mm tip IMHO. I have found that Japanese pens do lean toward a finer point and I don't mind a fine point, but I did think the line would be a bit bolder. The biggest problem I have is that the pen skips sometimes when writing. I've had a lot less expensive pens write more consistently than this Pilot. The body of the pen is a bit narrow. I don't particularly dislike narrow pens, but I do find they kinda cramp my hand up after writing for a while.

A beautiful writing experience. If you like fine point pens you will love the smooth writing feel and the neatness of the ink. The barrel is a good lightweight feel and the colour goes well with everything rose gold! Love this pen! It makes me feel luxurious every time!

This was the first premium refillable pen I have ever bought. It feels incredible to write with, the glide is very smooth. I got the light blue barrel, and it looks very nice and sleek as well. The bottom half is made of metal, and gives a nice bottom heavy weight to it, which feels nice as well. Great product, I would recommend and would think about buying a second one for myself.

Awesome feel in the hand and very smooth writing experience. You feel the value while writing. It’s got a sleek matted black colour, and feels very durable. I imagine there should be no issue replacing the ink with other brands you may like.
