Ammonium Lactate Lotion 12%C-P , Fliptop - (400grams/14oz)

Not one for long reviews but this product is a literal life saver! Disclaimer* this might not work for YOUR face, but for me, this is a GAME CHANGER. (Product description / online advice advises not to use on face without consulting a doctor***)I do suffer from occasional breakouts, but they don't bother me as much as the bumps all over my face. To paint a picture - I am in my late 20s, and have combination skin. I have these tiny flesh colored bumps all over my face - not blackheads, not whiteheads. Even without makeup, my skin never looked nice because of these bumps... I was honestly hopeless, have tried almost everything to even out my skin and NOTHING worked well enough to stick with it. Saw a thread on Instagram from a person who used Dr Bronners Tea Tree soap + this and decided it was worth a shot since both items were like $12 each. I have no words. Used the Dr Bronners with CVS Facial Cleansing Power Brush (same thing as the clarasonic, for $20, and has lasted me 8 months). I dry my face. Put a dollop of this Ammonium Lactate Lotion on a cotton pad, and wipe my face with it. It does tingle/ burn, and turn my face reddish for about 5- 10 mins. Once I feel it's settled in, I add a drop of my moisturizer (neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer - without sunscreen). I also wipe off any excess lotion that may have went onto my lips, as it will usually cause my lips to chap or swell a bit, and then layer on some good chapstick. Within TWO days I noticed an extreme difference in my face. I don't wear makeup to work (ever - before this, or now) and the second day after using, two people asked me if I had gotten a facial or peel. My skin is baby soft and 10x more even. The bumps are not completely gone - but closest I have ever gotten to it in over 14 years. I literally cannot rave about this product enough if you have troublesome skin (probably won't be great on your face if you have good or very sensitive skin to begin with). Funny thing, one of the women who asked if I had a facial, when I told her the product I had tried, she said she has been using it for YEARS and this woman no joke has the skin of a 25 year old and is in her late 40s. Obviously, lotion can only do so much, but really this has helped me in ways diet or expensive products never ever could.This is NOT paid review & sorry for rambling but I wish I knew about this sooner. Soooooooooo worth the $.

I have keratosis pilaris on my back and arms. I was prescribed this by my doctor as of 08/21/2017... I didn't start using it until 08/23/2017. And I'll have to say i loooovvvvvve it I can already see a difference. Today is the 27th... It had tremendously changed in 4 days if used properly (2x's daily)

I've been applying this on the sides of my legs and backs of my arms. I thought I just had rough skin, but then learned that it could be KP. I've tried exfoliating, making coconut oil / coconut butter/ shea butter lotion, to no avail. Did some research and read about AHA lotions and decided to try this out. It's been a little over a week of 1 or 2 applications a day and it has made such a difference. I am so pleased and can't believe I waited so long to do anything about it!

I will be a repeat purchaser for sure. Two decades ago I was prescribed this by a podiatrist who noticed how scaly my feet were while setting three broken toes. The stuff had been terrific, but was something like $42 for the bottle, and I just couldn't afford it. Didn't think of it for years, until recently I remembered its name was lac-hydrin (or something close.) Looked it up here at Amazon, found this, ordered it, and am amazed at how well my feet are responding. What I had come to regard as an impossible case of athlete's foot may well have been just terribly dry feet. They're improved to the point where I don't think they'll wear holes in the fitted sheets anymore. The price is affordable and I'm hoping with continued use, my feet will keep improving.

Bought this for my KP after reading the reviews here. I get the white bumps on my upper arms, the ones where you squeeze and a little white plug of keratin pops out. I'm applying this cream daily in combination with a salt body scrub, sometimes twice a day when I remember. The fragrance is quite bad, it smells like pee (ammonia). Maybe don't put it on before you go out, people might think you smell of pee. But it definitely is working for me, I just put it on before I go to sleep. I didn't get immediate results, I've been using it about 2 weeks now and there are definitely way less new bumps developing. I found you need to start from scratch - this cream won't get off the bumps that are already there. So squeeze all the white plugs out, wipe the slate clean as it were, scrub with salt, then put the cream on, do this every day. Any new ones, squeeze them. I think another two weeks of this doing this every day and my arms are going to be totally clear. The bottle is big and you don't need much, I think to totally clear my arms I haven't even used 1/6 of the bottle.

I have pretty mild keratosis pilaris/ ichthyosis on my legs and I've only been using this lotion just little over a week, I've been using it about once a day (sometimes two) and my condition has improved greatly! You do have to be consistent though.The "goose bumps" are not as noticeable and skin feels a lot smoother and more moisturized, also I don't get as many ingrown hairs on my legs as I used to.This is the first lotion that has actually helped with the skin on my legs.It's very affordable compared to other lotions on the market, I can see it lasting me for a very long time (I only use it on my legs and pretty small amount).The smell is not great but it's not strong and doesn't really bother me. I actually consider it a plus that it doesn't contain any fragrance.

This really seems to help my KP scars. It absorbs pretty easily without the greasy feeling. The only caution I would give is that if there are any areas of your skin that might be open (cuts, scraps, etc), this will sting (a lot). I used this on my legs after shaving and I had no idea I'd cut myself so much... ouch. My husband used this on his hands (his knuckles get a bit dried/cracked) and it really stung. The feeling goes away, so never fear.

Was recommended to me for softening chronically hard skin on heals of feet. So glad I gave it a go. It took 7 days to get 100% transformation from embarrassingly horrible to perfectly soft skin. I can now show off my feet instead of trying to hide them. It is the most amazing product but use regularly and be patient. Nothing happened for the first three days, then, as if by magic, healthy skin started to appear. After 7 days I didn't know I ever had the problem in the first place. Recommend 100%!

helps with my scaly skin from ichthyosis vulgaris. stinks on broken skin. skin gets sensitive. not much changes noted on keratosis pilaris. greasy. expensive.

Good product but still not quite as good as the Brand Lac-Hydrin Lotion.

Amazingly effective. Nothing else had been so effective since birth. My skin looks glowing boosting my confidence.

This is the only thing that has helped my family. Other brands of the same medication/lotion don't seem to work. We don't understand why but that's what we've found.

It's okay, it wont replace your Amalactin.

The locion is really greasy. It is not for my normal skin. Maybe purchase if you have extremely dry skin

For a long time I've had dry feet that crack and end up with sores. I've tried a lot of foot creams that required daily application and took a long time to dry. The directions for this product say to use twice a day but, twice a week works fine for me and it is fairly quick drying. I highly recommend this lotion. (P.S. - it's great for elbows, too.)

seems to work in case of KP.. but contains parabens.. a big no no for a costly product..
